Anyone done a Vegas Bachelorette Party?

My friends and I are wanting to go to Vegas for a weekend in October for my bachelorette party!

Anyone ever been? If so, where did you stay and what kind of deal did they give you?

We just got back from Vegas earlier this week and I have been to a couple weekend bachelorette parties out there.

As for hotels, I will always recommend the Monte Carlo and Caesar's for the following reasons:

1.) Their casinos are the least smokey.  ie: you don't feel like you are hit with a massive wall of smoke when you go in
2.) They are both extremely convenient to the transportation systems.  Monte Carlo is connected to Aria, Cosmopolitan, Vdara and Bellagio through a tram.  Caesars is next door to Bellagio and has easy access to the tram.  Also, there is a monorail stop across the street from Caesar's at Harrah's.
3.) Both are the most budget friendly for their star rankings.  I think for 3 nights in a Deluxe King room, we paid a total of $276 at the Monte Carlo. Caesar's was right behind it.
4.) Of all the pools, the Monte Carlo was the most fun.  They have a regular pool, surfing pool, wave pool and lazy river
5.) Caesar's has the forum.  Monte Carlo has the cupcakery :D
6.) They are both easy access points to various clubs/bars

I think it also depends on what you're looking for. If you want an all out experience in the actual hotel you're staying in, Kendall's hit the nail on the head as far as where you'll probably get the most bang for your buck and still be in a decent location. The last time I went, we didn't plan on spending much, if any, time in the hotel room other than sleeping, so we just looked for the best deal we could. We ended up snagging rooms off of Orbitz for Bally's for $38 a night for their King Deluxe Room.

Now, Bally's is one of the older (and cheaper) hotels, but because of it's age, it's smack in the middle of the blvd, next to Paris and across from the Bellagio, so we were in prime striking distance of everything. The major downside was the pool- nothing exciting, really barely more than you'd expect from a pool at any nicer hotel anywhere else. But since it's October, I don't know hoe much time you'll be spending at the pool (we went in July, so it was kind of disappointing)

If you get a chance, check out Ruelala and/or Sniqueaway (If you don't already... I think they're invite only, tho, so I can send you an invite if you PM me your email), they'll do a lot of package deals, and Vegas seems to come up pretty frequently. Also, Restaurants.com is kind of like groupon, where you can buy gift certificates to restaurants in specific cities for discounted prices.

Thanks was kinda long, haha, sorry. HTH :)

Oh and if you <3 beer - The Pub inside the Monte Carlos = amazing.

Best thing ever?  Applebeer float - Hard Apple Cider over vanilla ice cream.  To. Die. For.

Ooh, thanks ladies! I'm going to Vegas for the first time soon (for my birthday, not a b-party) and it was fun to hear the different options. We're staying at Bally's to be on the strip, but I wish I'd known in advance about the pools at the Monte Carlo! That sounds exactly like how I'd love to spend my days while H is playing blackjack.

Not to threadjack, but if you ladies have any tips on things to do other than gambling, please let me know! I've heard the shopping there is ridiculously expensive, so that's probably out for me. I only know I want to go to the hotel that looks like Venice and the one that looks like Paris and get my picture taken at each :)

Things to do other than gamble:

1.) Go to shows.  We just sw Blue man group and Carrot top this trip but both were incredibly worth it.
2.) If you like the pools, there is Bare and Wet Republic depending on which you prefer
3.) Art gallery at the Bellagio
    4.) Garden inside the Bellagio
5.) Shopping at the Street of Dreams (Monte Carlo), shops of the Bellagio, Forum (Caesar's), Shops at the Venetian & Palazzio
6.) Rides at NY, NY (roller coaster) and Stratosphere - Yes, you can no jump off the building.  DO NOT ride the rides at Circus Circus.  Worst. Ride. Ever.
    7.) Fountains at Bellagio
8.) LV Gold and Silver Pawn - Home to "Pawn Stars" - We had SO much fun here but we watch the show so...
9.) Day trip to the Grand,  Bryce, or Zion Canyons
10.) There are a ton of experiences - Drive a Lambo, fire a machine gun, etc
11.) Madame Tussead's at the Venetian
12.) Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas

That's all I have for now, but I will keep thinking :P

TY, Kendall! I appreciate all the ideas. It's going to be an unusual first trip to Vegas -- not only are DH and I are going, but my entire family is meeting us there. My brother is coming from the south and my parents from the midwest and a couple friends from all over the country are flying in. It'll probably be a group of 10-14 people from kind of all aspects of our lives, so I want a good mix of things to do.

I know my mom wants to BMG but I hadn't heard any reviews to know if it's worth the money or not. I'll research the pools and the shopping you mention -- other good things for me to do with my parents while DH is gambling with friends.

I know I can get DH to do #6, #7, and #12 with me. I'll totally look around for the experiences you mention in #10. That would be amazing.

Ya'll are so helpful! I'm so excited now! We've been trying to figure out where to stay and want to book it before prices go up! I've been twice but I think for my bachelorette party we may be in for a HANGOVER experience! Thank ya'll!

Marie - BMG was the first time in our nearly 4 yr relationship that I have ever seen Albert laugh so hard he cried.  They do A LOT of audience interaction so do your best to be on an aisle seat.  Totally worth it.  That being said, avoid the first 4 rows.  That's the splash row.  Just imagine the paint bar that the girls in Miss Congeniality go to... All you get is a plastic parka :P

I would definitely recommend Carrot Top.  As odd as it sounds, he was funnier than any of the comics I have seen and he was only on stage for 5 minutes before he had to cancel due to illness.  He out performed 2 hour long shows that I saw with George Carlin, Carlos Mencia or Dane Cook.  It is a whole different kind of comedy.

Also, while you are there, you HAVE to check out the little french bistro at Paris LV.  It's called Mon Ami Gabi and has the single best sandwich I have ever eaten.  I think Angela liked it as well.   I also highly recommend Tacos & Tequila upstairs in the Luxor if you want Mexican.  Their carnitas were extremely authentic.

I don't remember the name of it, but the place outside Caesars (Courtney, help me out here, Serendipity?) was also yummy. I don't recommend I <3 Burgers inside the Pallazio shops though.  Worst burger ever bleh

Can you tell I am already planning our honeymoon there?  It's down to St. Thomas or Vegas.  I burn like crazy, so as much as I would love the islands, I would rather not bathe in SPF100 all day so going in and out in Vegas is so much more my style.

I LOVED Mon Ami Gabi. It's phenomenal. Border Grill in Mandalay Bay has some really amazing Mexican food (I know, we live in Texas, why pay for expensive Mexican food??) but they also do these flavored Mojitos that are ah-mazing.

Also, if you get a chance, go to downtown Las Vegas- the old strip. They do this huge light show in the evenings and they have a lot of drink specials to encourage people to come into the casinos. They have a bud that runs to and from the strip to downtown that's pretty cheap...I don't really remember any details, but I'm sure the hotel conierge would have all the info. We had a blast!

I remember when I was in cosmetology school my teacher said that one weekend they were bored and went to vegas and had a fake bachelorette party... apparently they designated a "bride" and all got dressed up in beads and veils, etc etc and got all kinds of free drinks, vips, upgrades, etc.  So I guess as long as everyone knows you are there on your bachelorette maybe you will get some freebies?

We are going next month and the Sugar Factory inside Paris is on my list.   They have red velvet pancakes.. I'm just sayin'!

Looks like everyone covered it pretty well.   We are considering seeing the Lion King, La Reve, or The Phantom of the Opera while we are there.

I saw Zumanity last time, and it would be pretty hilarious for a bachelorette party... not so much for the family.

That's all I have to add.

We are having my bachelorette party in vegas the end of Sept.  We booked a suite at the Palms. I dont know a ton of details, but I think its like $700 a night. Sounds bad but we have like 13 girls going...so not too bad.  I think my MOH got a deal through the hotel for limo service and VIP enterance to clubs.  But she has been planning this since March and everything was booked by April, I know booking early in Vegas helps.  I know some weekends are cheaper than others for some reason too, so look at that.. it was almost $300 cheaper for us to go the weekend of Sept 23rd vs the weekend before, no idea why.

The palms has a VIP bracelet that you can buy for $100 pp that allows access into all of the clubs.

The drinks at ghostbar are $18.00 each.
