Would love comments or suggestions

I am pretty new to the forum so I wanted to tell everyone my ideas and see what they have to say.

I am staying in Kihei and am wanting to stick near the area to keep things easy. I am only having 12 people including me and my fiance at my wedding. I am planning on keeping things very, and I mean very simple, but do want to feel that it is pretty. We are planning on getting married on Po'olenalena beach at sunset. Pictures to fallow. After pictures we are planning on going to a restaurant for dinner (suggestions would be wonderful). I am wondering what kind of decorations I should do. I was thinking maybe the heart in the sand?? Other than that because there isnt going to be very many people I feel an aisle is pointless.

Did other people have their Dad walk them down still?

What do you all think?

Thanks!

Oh, and when we get back we will be having a party at a club that we are members at. This will be very laid back. Should I wear my dress so everyone gets to see me in it?

The only decorations we are doing is tropical flowers.  I am having my "dad" walk me down the aisle.  We only have 21 ppl, so it won't be much of an aisle. We are also having an at home reception, when we return and I will be wearing my dress.  It's really up to you on what you want.

    Restaurant options in Kihei:
    Five Plams
    Mala Wailea
    Gannon's

I think a Maui beach sunset is stunning enough.  A ring / heart of flowers on the floor, maybe a lei, could add some simple elegance.  I generally believe less is more, especially when embracing the beauty and laid back atmosphere of a wedding in Maui.

We had a local reception of 400 people, and I wore my dress for about half, and then changed into a red evening gown.  I loved wearing my dress again, and it gave us a chance to get some photos that our photographers did not get.  I do think most of the guests definitely expected to see the dress!
