Honeymoons!!

Have any of your started planning your honeymoons? Started thinking places to go, activities etc? FI and I are concidering Atlantis!! Where are some of you planning to go?

We're going to Hermann, MO for our mini-moon. They have some vineyards there, and it will also be Oktoberfest.

As for our "big trip/honeymoon," we're going to do that for our one year anniversary. Right now we're seriously considering either a New England/Canada cruise or a Mediterranean cruise. It will probably come down to whether or not we end up buying a house shortly after the wedding or not, and how much spare cash we have, as the Med cruise will be significantly more expensive. May have to wait for the 5 yr anniversary for that one!

We are going to Aruba! I can't wait it is suppose to be perfect weather there in October and we're leaving the Monday after the wedding. We are staying at an all inclusive resort.

We're spending about a week and a half in Maui. I am WAY more excited for the honeymoon than the wedding!

We are going to go to Costa rica, but in Feb. It looks like u are getting married in August, so you have to worry about hurricane season. Just something to think about...

I just started doing some research. Have any of you heard good things about the Dreams resort in Puerto Vallarta? I found a pretty good deal since we are on a tight budget!

We're going to Sandals Dunn's River Villaggio in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. So excited!!! We booked a zip line tour as our only away from the resort excursion, but are also having a couples massage and candle light dinner on the beach. And a catamaran cruise that was included in our package!! I can't decide which I'm more excited for--the wedding or honeymoon!

Janelle--My sister stayed at a Dreams resort in Cancun on her honeymoon. They LOVED it and got a lot of things included for FREE for being honeymooners! I'm sure Puerto Vallerta would be comparable! Good luck!

Pridee- ZOMG I can't friggin wait! Seriously. I'm way ready to be done making phone calls and having something to do with the wedding. I'm ready to get outta here and get a tan! You should be super excited too. I've never been during Octoberfest, but I've heard good things!

Sarabeth- The catamaran cruise sounds so fun! You guys have a heck of a honeymoon planned!

Our honeymoon is a compromise. He wanted to go back to Oktoberfest in Munich and I wanted to hit a beach. So we're doing 3 days in Rome, then a 10 day Mediterranean cruise, and then 3 days in Munich for the opening of the 200th year of Oktoberfest! I agree with PP that I'm almost, if not more, excited for the honeymoon! Some firiends, both American and German, will join us in Munich so that should be awesome!

My compromise with my fiance is that I get the reception I want, and he gets the honeymoon he wants. Although, I secretly hope he chooses Maui (I've been once, and it's amazing!).
