Do you have a lot of guests coming in from OOT?  If so, then you should send them out now.

Otherwise, I think around December is fine.

Our wedding is in June and I literally just put 85% of them in the mail this morning... We have guests from CA, FL, and Long Island.  8 months out is OK... If you get antsy you it wouldn't hurt to do them sooner.

haha yes! Most of my moms fam is in Costa Rica and are planning to come for the wedding.
I wish I could start doing them now. I've been emailing back and forth with someone from a printing company and they are being kind of slow in sending me samples. I had my save the dates designed by a graphic designer soo I need them printed somewhere else. My friend has a cousin who works in the printing industry and offered to do them for me but he's not moving as fast as I would like.
He sent me one sample but I didnt like it bc it didnt have a shiny overlay on top like most do so now I'm waiting for him to send me the sample with the shiny overlay to see which I like better. I actually just finished emailing him.
Anyone have any ideas where to get these printed besides Vistaprint??

I was going to suggest using WeddingPaperDivas if you haven't ordered them yet.  I can't rave enough about them!!  The person who helped me even sent a hand written card congratulating us.  It was so adorable.  My experience was phenomenal!  We didn't so the glossy print bc I was nervous about fingerprints while stuffing them.  They still came awesome.

WeddingPaperDivas has really cute stuff but would they print my own design for me? aww that is nice, it's more personal than most companies. I didnt even think about fingerprints. One of the reasons I was kinda turned off by the 1st sample I received was bc my mom touched it w her hand being a little bit wet and it instantly got ruined so that upset me lol.

The print shop at CardsAndPockets.com  will print a custom job for you.  They did my invites, which were designed by my cousin, and they came out beautifully, plus the turnaround was very fast and they were very responsive by email.

IMO you can never be too early with out of town guests.  The sooner you tell people the sooner they can mark it down.  There is no harm in being early without OOT guests IMO.  And I think people appreciate it and earlier rather than later heads up.

I would try to get them out as soon as possible especially since you are inviting people from out of the country. Even if you get them out end of this month/beginning of Nov, that should be fine.

Usually 6-9 months before.  We sent them out 9 months to the day.
