Re: Wedding on Cruse Ship before it leaves port??

  • My best friend got married on a cruise in which I was the maid of honor. It was fun! Only a few attended, which is how she wanted it, but her sister and husband and child were able to attend the ceremony even though they didn't book for the cruise. Once the ship starts to leave, they are escorted out of the ship. The rest stayed and enjoyed the trip. There were others getting married in other parts of the ship, so I suggest inquiring where the locations are. We were on Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas so that's how they worked. YOu can check out other cruise ships to see how their wedding cruise look like.
  • Thank you all for all the info. You have been very helpful and DEW3162 what cruse line are you taking?

    Thanks,

  • My FI and I are planning our wedding for Oct. 3, 2010 on the Carnival Pride ship. We are marrying at the port of call in Baltimore, MD (we are both from MD) and are going to the Bahamas on a 7 day cruise. We are so excited that we can keep the wedding within budget but still include cruising and non-cruising guests! After weeks and weeks of trying to plan a traditional wedding, we finally decided to keep it simple. Carnival has been GREAT to work with. They really have thought of everything! I can still have the wedding I want without all of the stress, and oh yeah, a honeymoon too! I'm so happy with our decision to choose a cruise ship wedding!

Now, time to find save the date cards... :) Good luck to you!
