I started working on the guestbook today and was talking about the colors of Sharpie that I needed to get so the names would show up on the paper (think darker shades of purple).
Me: I need to remember to go get silver and black sharpies for the guestbook
FH: What do you mean silver and black? Can you change those colors? The guys at work will never let me live it down if the wedding colors are silver and black! (complete with look of horror and shock on his face)
Me: Black and silver are not the primary colors. We are using purple and black with silver accents.
FH: can't we use gold instead of silver. Silver and black are Raiders colors and my Steelers loyalty will be questions if there is silver with the black. Your teams colors are purple and yellow and mine are black and yellow so why can't we use gold instead of silver?
At this point, I was laughing so hard I could not talk. FH has hardly paid any attention to anything color related during the entire planning of the wedding even though I have asked his opnion on almost everything. Twenty minutes later he was still trying to talk me into gold instead of silver and could not see that there will be very little silver mixed in with the purple and black ...
