You don't have to do flower centerpieces.  Candles can be a great alternative.

i am using fake flowers, honestly I don't want to pay for a florist and I want to have my flowers done with ahead of the time. We are using real touch flowers and for our centerpieces just silk carnation pomander balls.

I did DIY with fresh flowers (4 bouquets, 8 bouts, 8 corsages, 20 centerpieces) and it was only $500.  You can order in bulk from flowersandfreshness.com, fiftyflowers.com, or Sam's Club.  It is time intensive the day before the wedding, but I thought it was worth it.

<div>This is what I'm doing. We are getting enough flowers for 5 bouquets, about 11 corsages/bouts, and 12 centerpieces for under $400. Unless you can get a super deal, fake flowers are more than real ones if you DIY. You'd have to get all of your fake flowers at less than like $0.90 each to save over real. </div>
