Getting Impatient

I am having one of those days, I would like August 24 to be here already, I have been waiting over 2 years and I am growing impatient lol. School starts again next week so I know I will be busy and have no time to think about the wedding until that is done but for now it seems time is standing still and August will never get here!

What are you guys up to right now? WR and non WR?

I'm getting super impatient too!! Even though its super early we gave out the invitations to the people coming from england, so we've started getting RSVPs and guestbook entries and its like omg!!!

WR- I am picking up my BM dresses tomorrow. I kinda forgot how they look, so I am looking forward to this.

Also, I got my wedding shoes at a huge discount than i had originally planned. They are blue and sparkly and retro. LOVE THEM!

nonWR- getting ready for james to move in! I am getting a new couch delivered next week, and my roommate is moving out so I will have a lot of organizing to do. Especially when it comes to making room for him in the closet.

I am totally anxious for the 24th to get here too! Some days, I am thinking it will NEVER arrive, and then some days, It seems just a around the corner. :-p

Right now I am looking for BM dresses, and am getting ready to book my phographer who happens to be my sister! :-D

You're def. not the only one. I've been impatient for this day to come even before my FI proposed. LOL!

WR: SO MUCH! I am gathering the last of the address I need to send out STD's by the end of the month. I have 4 or 5 appointments this month for wedding related stuff. 2 floral appts, 1 cake appt, 1 bm dress appt, and possibly an event planner appt. And my FI and I want to register this month now that the holidays have died down.

NWR: With all that going on I started classes again today. The closer and closer I get to my student teaching the more and more work they throw on you for classes. So currently I am sitting in the student center of my university try to organize stuff for all my classes, and the wedding.

I have a feeling this semester is going to be hectic with all the wedding planning and finalizing and all my school stuff. Thankfully, I am not taking summer classes!

It seems too close for me - I guess I am the opposite!

I have until the 22nd before school starts and I really would like to get most of the rest of the "stuff" out of the way. I AM taking summer classes and will not be out until Aug 16th. I basically only have these next 2-3 weeks, spring break, and the week before the wedding for free time!

We have all of the big stuff done, but so many little things (mostly DIY). I have made a list and hope to get it all done in the next couple of weeks.

WR: BM dress appointments on the 13th and 27th - hopefully that will be it and we can decide between those two days. I want to find shoes on one of those days as well, although I still can't decide what I want. Looking forward to my tasting (should be this month...) so I can order our invites!

WR & Non-WR: Focusing on losing weight!

Non-WR: I guess just preparing for school. This semester is my first clinical so I am excited for that - I have clinical orientation at the hospital tomorrow.

I am getting impatient but also extremely excited. Like you Railway, it's been over two years since the engagement and I'm ready for the day to be here!
WR - just ordered Save the dates (YAY!) and I've been collecting addressing. Trying to finalize work guestlist. Also, began researching HM and decided Dominican Republic. Just looking for the resort. Lastly, my next task is to research BM dresses.

NWR - Back to work after the holiday break is tough! on a resolution diet/exercise plan. training for the Boston Marathon!

I am a mixture of all the feelings. I am excited and impatient for the 24th to come, but also anxious because it seems like I won't be able to do it all by the 24th.

WR: Got my shoes, got the dj, got most of the dinnerware... Need to book my rooms for the wedding and get a caterer asap!

NWR: Studying for my licensing exams to be a marriage and family therapist and working A LOT! Also, trying to get back on track with my exercise and healthy eating after all the holiday stuff;-)

I've been told the next 7 + months are going to flyyyy by!!!

I can't believe its already 2013 - and also feel like there is waaaaaay too much to do!

WR - we have to do the STD & invites (which means finalize the guest list) have to find transportation, BM dresses, do our cake, hair/makeup trials and those are the major ones i won't even start listing the little items to do or else ill have a stress out haha

NWR - I'm also trying to get into bridal shape and get healthier, just keeping up with work and fam and friends to make the days fly by even faster. No school for me - but good luck to all the ladies that are also students - you are def troopers i dont know how you do everything!!!

I'm getting excited and impatient too! I wish all the planning was done and it was August already.

WR-We decided on florist and need to get the contract and send in a deposit. I am starting to look more closely for shoes, jewelry, and a veil. We narrowed down our rehearsal dinner to two locations. I need to start looking into transportation and invitations. We've pretty much decided we want to go to Hawaii for the honeymoon so now we're trying to decide what island(s).

NWR-I'm also trying to get back on track with my healthy lifestyle after all the holiday parties.

I have a total mix of feelings about how close August is...I am very excited for the wedding and that can't come soon enough, but I am supposed to be DONE with grad school about 2 weeks before the wedding and that is extremely overwhelming and stressful. Wedding planning has been my release and hobby lately, as opposed to my stress source!

Coming up soon...

WR: February and March are big months! We will have our second pastor meeting where we finalize the readings for our ceremony, get out the rest of our STDs (we got out my side before the holidays since we have a Friday date, but have had a hard time getting them for FI's side so those couldn't get out with the rest), go BM dress shopping, look for a ring for FI, and get a hotel block set up. I am able to work extra hours over the school break, so I will probably get my BM gifts soon with that extra money as well.

NWR: We just got FI a new (to him) car, which was much needed and very exciting, but means we're going to be taking it easy for the next few months to keep with our savings plan. We're just going to focus on our school and work plans and opportunities and enjoy each other's company

Ashelton, what grade are you going to teach? My undergrad degree was in education, and I did my student teaching with seventh graders. It was one of the toughest times of my life, but also the most rewarding!

I am very impatient! I am sooo ready for it to be like the week of my wedding!

WR We just booked our venue. The Estes Park Resort in Estes Park, CO. It's gorgeous, my absolute dream venue. It's right on Lake Estes and is just amazing. It's a little over budget, but my parents are paying for the bulk of it and my FMIL and my FH and I are filling in the gaps. I have also ordered my dress, contracted my officiant and photographer. We are meeting with our DJ this week (he's a friend) and we have picked out our cakes. We just need to sign the cake contracts and everything and we're good there. I'm so tired of fighting with parents though. It seems everyday my parents or my FMIL has a bone to pick with me and it's getting old. Some of my girls have ordered their dresses and I hope the rest follow suit soon.

Non WR just working all the time delivering those babies. Working and saving money but still trying to go out with our friends and not talk about the wedding. The day we booked our venue to celebrate my FH and I went to see Les Miserables and we LOVED it! It's been my favorite musical forever so it was amazing. I'm actually seeing it again tomorrow with my bridesmaids who live here.

Just want August 3rd to be here already!!

Right now - working on finding a cake and a photographer. We take our engagement pics next week and will send out save the dates soon

We are getting married August 10th, as well... I feel the exact same way, it feels like FOREVER away. We have just about everything booked and planned, its down to the waiting and its driving me crazy!!! LOL
