Hi I am really late on figuring out my wedding makeup as I started requesting information and a few people have come back as being booked.  Can anyone give me any recommendations on who they used and pricing?  I am getting married in Lagrangeville, NY.  Thanks!

    with out a doubt try Jill from JK Flashy!! She is by far the best!! I just used her for my own wedding this past weekend. She is amazing! Every bride gets one free trial so it doesnt hurt to try her out.

    Hi,

    I live in Lagrange and am getting married in May. I did a couple trials then did one with Lindsey Gallagher. She is in Danbury - she is very nice and did an amazing job! Here is a link to her website - Danbury is a lot close for me being in our area. Her cost includes travel which is $200, including the trial. Other folks I went to charge $200, plus 75 dollar travel to come all the way to PK.

    I'm using Jill from JK Flashy as well!  She did a wedding I was in last year and thought she was fabulous!

    My Mom has been going to Cartier's in LaGrange for her hair for years and their pricing for wedding hair/make-up is super reasonable.  I'm getting married in Poughkeepsie and will probably get my hair/make-up done at Cartier's.

    I'll be honest though I assume they are not going to do quite as fancy of a job as JK Flashy or one of those people who really focus on weddings and charge a lot more, so it depends on what you want.

    If you're not getting married in Sept. or Oct., I recommend Nicole Francavilla - Beauty by Nicole. She will be having her first child in the fall and taking those two months off.
    She's based out of Chester (Orange Co), but will travel to Dutchess. I don't know what the fee is because she isn't charging me one.
    It's $100 for the bride and $75 for bridesmaids. For an extra $20 she will do air brushing, if you'd like.

    I am using a woman named Tara.. her company is called Bella Trucco.   My day of makeup will be 110 (airbrush with lashes) and the girls are 50 each.  She lives in just over the midhudson bridge and my wedding is in Poughkeepsie so she is not charging me a travel fee.. but you can email her if you would like to find out if she is available and how much it would be.     oooooh where in Lagrangeville (I hope the Links!  that is where I got married)

    probablykate...so funny...I used to go to Cartier's!  I left b/c my stylist left and I loved her so I had to follow her.  small world

    Makeup...I used Arlene from the MAC counter at Macy's in the Poughkeepsie Galleria.  She lives in Dutchess so not sure that she would charge a travel fee..she was a friend of my stylist.  She did an amazing job.

    I 2nd Cartier's - I went there for years to Debbie to get my hair done - she is amazing. SSage - who did you go to?

     A friend of mine had her makeup done at the salon too, it's worth looking into!

    SHUT UP!  That is who did my hair too!!!!!  But when she left to go to Adam Broderick, it was going to cost almost triple to get my hair done and i couldn't afford it...so she suggested another stylist there who i am still with but who is NOT still with Cartier's.  Do you still go to Debbie?  I know she left AB and was at Water's Edge...last I knew.  Love her.

    ssage and kris - My Mom used to go to Jen (the owner of Cartiers) when she was getting her start working at another salon, and then when she opened Cartiers my Mom followed her and has been going there ever since!

    Here's what Jill quoted me:

    Her packgaes are based on how many other peopler besides the bride are getting their makeup done. They all include eyelashes and airbrush. 

    Bride + 2 or less:
    $250 for brides makeup
    $85 for everyone else

    Brides + 3 or more
    $200 for brides makeup
    $85 for everyone else

    Trial for the bride is free, other trials are $50 (my mom is going ot have a trial)

    No way! Yes, I  had been going to her for like 5 years when she left to go to AB in Ridgefield. I was sooo sad. I remember the price they gave me when I called there, almost had a heart attack lol. Yes, is it Tasha who you go to? I went to Tasha when Deb left and she was great too. I followed her out  that one place and then Hot Locks after that for a couple of years!
