I didn't view the site, but that price is generally in line with what I saw for videographer fees (for the better videographers).  I highly recommend a videographer for your wedding!  You get to see so much that you missed on the big day.

If your budget will allow, I say definitely get a video.  I had to make some cuts recently and that was the thing I had to eliminate. I am HEARTBROKEN about not having video. I want to see everything the way guests will see it and now I have to hope that someone brings a camera and can actually document some footage for us.

My budget definitely did not allow for an extra 1000 for my videography (which is what my photography company charged) because I splurged on other things that I felt were a little more important (flowers, more expensive dress). If you can, definitely go for it!!!

Go for it! We cannot afford it but we are doing it the hook up way.. one of Fi's friends is in film school.. but doesn't have a great camera.. the best man ( his other friend) used to do wedding videography and has nice cameras. He stopped doing them since he and his wife had a baby. So friend in film school - who is not in the wedding will film the event, and the best man will edit it later..

    can you say hook up?

We were not going to get one but after talking to some recently married friends we changed our minds.  We found someone around $1000 but were able to negotiate him down to $700 if we only have one shooter, and get less copies.  See if you can negotiate anything.

Definitely... we paid $1950 for an excellent videographer in Atlanta so I think that price is on point as long as the quality is great. Our package included a love story and I see the one for $1995 doesn't. I don't know if you are interested but our videographers have a similar style and the price we paid includes the love story. In case you want to check them out the site is threeringmedia.com.

This wasn't in our budget originally but we cut some things and decided to do it. Our package is $1099. I say do it if it's in your budget. We researched videographers and we waited too long to book the guy we really wanted. By the time we decided to do video, he was already booked on our day. Luckily we found someone else that was in our price range.

I agree, if it is in your budget then you should go for it.  We are debating having one at our reception because we are getting married in mexico and having an at home reception so it may not be in the budget.

Personally, I'm in Atlanta and am paying $1000 for 8 hours, same day edit, highlight video, and 3 DVDs.

I would keep looking for something more in your price range if you really want videography. PM me if you want recs. I found really good videographers that will give you more than that package for less.
