Well it's official. We tied the knot in Vegas on Saturday, July 2nd, and got home at 1:30 am this morning. I had to be on another flight at 8:00 am for work so I'm a little tired right now. I'll post reviews and a few pics this weekend.
If you want a little of the drama, read on...
My mom and MIL buying the same dress for the wedding was seriously minor stuff compared to my Vegas experience. Here's a not-so-quick highlight reel: my only sister finds out the week before the wedding she has gestational diabetes and may not be able to fly, the day before her flight a second test confirms she can not fly and will not make my wedding, the day of my wedding I wake up and my left eye is swollen shut, I am so distraught over my eye that I have a few cocktails before the ceremony to relax and wait for the steroids to kick in, eye gets better and after ceremony I'm so happy I drink LOTS of champagne, pretty drunk during photo tour and am certain we gave Todd more "party pic" material vs. "wedding portrait," lost my camera somewhere on photo tour, woke up next day and left foot is swollen and bruised from an injury I can only assume occurred on the Mix dance floor, limped around Vegas rest of trip, land last night at 11:00 pm and get to my car however I realize I've also lost my car key, as I'm flinging things out of my bag in search of said key my husband starts putting our bags into a strangers truck who's offered us a ride, horrified I run after him and leave several magazines on top of my car...one holds the Las Vegas post card that a very nice Kansas City Chiefs player signed a lovely note addressed to us while waiting at baggage claim, survived a dark ride in the back seat of a kind stranger's truck.
Still no camera, key, or post card. My foot is still swollen and walking with a limp. But I'm effing married!!!!
*SO HAPPY*
