Has anyone offered to throw a bridal shower for you?

Not specifically but my mom, MOH, & aunt/god mother have talked about it. My mom's mentioned getting ideas when she goes to other showers & has said that mine will be a surprise so get dressed up for everything I'm invited to for 3 months before the wedding haha.

Nope. I really don't expect one. We've been living together for almost 6 yrs now.

thankfully, no! My mother is doing the engagement party, MIL is doing the rehersal dinner and my MOH is throwing the "ladies day" (instead of bachelorette party) FI and I do not want any gift giving parties.

My aunt has offered to throw me one, who knows if it'll for sure happen :-)

Well my FSIL offered and practically had a heart attack when I declined the offer. I made it clear from the get go with the only other person in our wedding party that I didn't want one. He was a little disappointed, but he got it. I'm just not into all the pre-wedding parties and I don't want them. I have nothing specifically against them, it's just not for me.

Yes, I will be having 2 so far. My aunt has offered to throw one for me, and my FMIL is throwing one since FI's family lives in a different part of the state. So essentially, we're having two to make it easier on guests; less travel time for them.

I'm excited, my aunt keeps coming to me with all these fun ideas she's brainstorming, I can tell she's going to do a great job. And it's something fun for her. FMIL is very type-A also, so I'm sure she'll enjoy planning her shower also.

I'm excited. I like pre-wedding parties!

Yes my mother has shes been coming up with ideas since March lol my only request was that she involve my fmil and stepmom otherwise everything in there hands.

My mom's good friends are throwing my FI and I a couple's shower sometime in the fall!

Yes, My bridal party and mother/FMIl have talked about it and asked. I am just not sure yet if we are having 2 since we live about 2 hours from each others families. Mine will be in the Sping one weekend. MOH, one of my BM and friends are excited about the Bachelorette party tho

No but not sure if it would be appropriate to have one since the wedding won't be at home. We have everything we need anyway...I'm not domestic enough to care about towels and pans lol

My FMIL already said she was and I have tried my hardest to make it clear that I DO NOT WANT ONE. But I am slowly learning in this process it doesnt matter at all what I want.

Yes and no...My grandma is having a lunch for us when we visit her in Michigan next month. She's been planning that since January. Since then, one of my cousin's got engaged, married 3 weeks later and then announced she was pregnant a month or so after that, so I think the lunch for me and FI will be merged with her and her new hubby. That's about it, and I hope it stays that way!! The only thing I want is a bachelorette night of fun and I know that will happen...my college friends have gotten excited about that already.

My aunt/godmother told me minutes after we announced our engagement that she will be hosting one. DF's aunt is also planning one for his side of the family. It's probably better that they're separate because there would be too many women! It should be a good time, haha.

My mom's aunt offered to throw me one. I'm excited, even though it won't be until after September or November. It's something to look forward to.

My FMIL did one for me at the end of April as a welcome to our family type of event. It was very nice and thoughtful of her. My sister plans on hosting one for me too back in my hometown so that family and friends can attend. I'm currently planning hers (her wedding is July 29).

Not really...my MOH has talked about it, but she has a lot going on planning her own wedding. A lot of the ladies in FI's family have mentioned how excited they are to attend a shower, but I'm not sure one will happen. Lol

Yes, my mom is throwing one for me. She tries to make it sound hypothetical like, "If we throw you a bridal shower, how would you want it to be?" or "If we throw you a bridal shower, would you like it be somewhere like this?" lol She desperately wants it to be a surprise but she still wants my input.
