Hello fellow Knotties!

I was curious if any of you have had your wedding or have been to a wedding at The Windmill Winery in Florance, AZ. If yes, how was your experience?
 
My fiance and I were thinking about going to an Open House. The venue looks beautiful, but I figured I'd check in on this board for an insider's perspective. :)

    We are not having our wedding there, but I went with a friend to check it out. It is BEAUTIFUL but so far away.  That's why it went off our list. The other problem is the only real hotel nearby is a Holiday inn, and it meant guests had no choices AND we would be spending our wedding night there (no offense to HI)

    The venue itself is another world, but just too difficult to get to and from and everything else around it is...Florence. My friend went to a wedding there last week, and on the way and texted me that she was so glad we didn't pick it becasue of distance, while she was there she texted me that we should change our minds and do it there, and on the way home she texted and said please please please do not do it there.

    Hmm.. I think it's a "no go" for us on the Windmill Winery- too far for us and for guests. Sometimes I wonder if we'll ever find the right venue! Ha!

    We are getting married there, as are some friends of ours. Most of our guests are either OOT or live on the east side of the valley, and it's really not a bad drive. The venue is gorgeous and great to work with. For us, it was the best combination of staying in our smaller budget and the outdoor/rustic feel we want.
