Wedding Woes

Small vent

DH and I were discussing the weekend while I was on my way to work.  My IL's are keeping the kiddo tomorrow night so we can attend my reunion. DH offered them to stay for dinner Sunday when they drop the kiddo off, which is fine.

This morning, DH tells me that his dad wants to come over and watch the Colts game at our house on Sunday.  The Colts game is the Sunday night game.  It starts at 8 or 8:30pm.

I'm not really happy about this.  By 8:30pm on Sunday, I'm ready to wind down and get ready for the coming week, not entertain people.  DH is all, "Well we'll watch the whole game anyway."  Yes, that's probably true, but if it's not a close game, about 10:30pm or so, we'll be in bed watching it.

I just hate the fact that I'll feel obligated to stay up, when I'll probably be wanting to go to bed.  Or at least be in bed watching TV or whatever.

I'll just have to pray that MIL wants to leave at halftime.

  • I'd pull the pg card and tell everyone you're exhausted.  Just go to bed when you want.

Yup, go to bed when you want, though I understand wanting the whole house to settle in for the night.

Frankly, Sunday is the Manning Bowl, so I'm not surprised they want to stay to watch the game...it's probably either stay for the game or don't stay for dinner at all...
  • Psh, his dad, his idea. You can go to bed whenever you want.
