Floral pricing help

Hi Ladies,

I am trying to figure if the floral pricing is reasonal. For the flowers, we may use a combination of Lilies, Hydrangeas, seasonal,  bells of Ireland Wax flower, Lisianthus, Roses,   Snapdragons, and Orchids.

We want two bouquets, two boutonnieres, two ceremony arrangements, 6 5X5 table arrangements, 6 4X4 table arrangements, and head table flowers. The cost is about $750. Is this a good price?

Thanks!

I called 3 different florists and told them all exactly what I wanted.  Each one gave me a different price.  I got $900, $600, & $500.  Best bet is to just call around and see what you can find.

I would price that out with English Gardens of Raleigh.  They took my budget and worked within it...and Cydney was extremely reasonable and gave me flower alternatives that looked similar but were not as expensive.  She was amazing and reasonable! ~

Thanks camus8. It was between English Garden and Brides & Bouquets. My fiancee really likes Brides & Bouquets. They were both pricing out pretty similar. It was a hard choice.

I work at a florist in Raleigh and $750 is a very reasonable price. All of the flowers you selected are premium flowers so they come with a much higher price tag than things like daisies and carnations.

All local florists use the same wholesalers and therefore you will have a very similar price by stem. The difference you will really see is in the design work. Find out the experience of the designer, look at THEIR wedding work and not pictures they have from networks like Teleflora or FTD. Another thing to consider is when they will start making your wedding flowers. Much smaller companies with fewer employees will work all week on your wedding flowers. Meaning, those centerpieces might be made on a Tuesday when your wedding is a Saturday. This is good and bad. They have more time to correct any errors and order more flowers, but the flowers came in a little earlier and might be over handled in the cooler.
