Just Engaged and Proposals

Kind of all sinking in now!

So I got engaged on Christmas eve 2011 (not because of Christmas Eve, because it's my doggies birthday! Crazy, I know) but was in the process of finishing up college and testing for my third degree black belt so I didn't have a chance to really start planning until a couple weeks ago! It's all sinking in now and holy cow is it expensive!

But my fiance and I have been together 4 years as of February. We met, instantly became best friends (I dated his best friend too...oops. Didn't work out, but now all three of us are really close friends still luckily). We started dating my senior year of high school and have been together ever since. It was a crazy feeling, can't describe it.

This is how he proposed: got my  mom and dad in on it (asked my dad for permission, brave soul, I'm "daddy's little girl" with a very overprotective father). My mom "didn't put her rings on one day" and my dad said that for Christmas he wanted to get her a new one but didn't know her size. But my mom knew that we were about the same size. So my dad was like "try hers on, see if it fits then we'll get you sized" so we did that when we were shopping for my mom for xmas (we always as a tradition do it christmas eve morning). But I tried on her rings on the 23rd. My fiance was in NYC apparently that day, I had no idea, buying my ring so parents called and told him the size.

On the way back from xmas shopping, my mom texts me "something is wrong with Ringo, he's acting really weird and is up in your room whining" (Ringo is my dog, it was his birthday and he's my baby, I'm a crazy animal lover). So I'm freaking out, as soon as we got home I rushed up the stairs to my room and their are bows up the stairs, garland wrapped around my door and it's shut. I opened the door (there is a half bath off my room) and there is my doggy with a bow tie around his neck and the door to my bathroom has my favorite picture of him with a quote bubble (picture below!). All of a sudden I hear "are you gonna kiss me or not" start playing, my fiance comes out of the bathroom and proposes!

Can't believe I fell for the entire thing. EVERYONE (cept my 2 best friends!) knew but me!
