Hair. How much to tip?

I asked if I should tip my hairdresser if she worked for herself and most people said yes.

How much should I tip her? There will actually be two ladies working on 9 girls. My hair is free. So I will be paying $30 (or under, they will determine that) a piece for 8 girls for a total of $240. What would you tip?

I would do 30 per girl for a total of 60. 300 for 9 people's hair is really good.

I think it comes down to the service you get. If they are okay ... tip them the usual 20%, so if you're paying a total of $240 for services, I would give around $45 in total tips. If you really love the service, I would go upwards of $55-$60.

For services like that it's 25-30%.

I would do 20%, especially if they are coming to you. I almost always tip 20%for everything. I do have to say that $30 per girl is a great deal! My girls are double that. Then again I live in CT and things are more expensive here than in other parts of the country

I am doing about 30% because she is also traveling over an hour to get to the hotel where we are getting ready and isn't charging for the travel.

I have $300 in my budget. I think I will keep it that way. I think paying her that much would be fair, unless something doesn't go right I guess. Like she shows up really late or something. (She knows how much of a time crunch I am in, I would be piissed!)
