Alterations- MAD!!!!

I went to go get my alterations done on dress. i went 1/2 hour south of my house because the place is cheap. I wore my strapless bustier and brought a strapless with. the bustier went too high up on my chest and wouldnt work under dress. i put on my strapless. still not going to work. the lady said she can't do alterations without the right bra. I needed to go to a place 45 mins north of me. I said won't a davids bridal bra work. NO. no? WTF!!?!??? i'm beginnig to hate this dress. i'm on my way to davids bridal to see if they got a $99 dollar dress for me.

oh no tash! I know the feeling. At least you can wear one.......i had to forego it altogether and have cups inserted.

I think if you have a corset in the back the cups will be fine...

But Tash... that is ridiculous they are sending you on a wild goose chase for this "magical bra"

@Mrssmith- Yeah, I was wondering what you were doing because the back of your dress is real low. The alterations lady said she couldn't put cups in my dress because there are already cups in there????? but the inside of the dress is completely flat. i don't get it.

@nursing- yeah. I'm super mad. I asked the alterations lady if she could put a corset underneath the buttons and she said no. referred me to bra maker lady. this lady said her bras run from $75+ and she has a $25 consult fee on top of that. I made fiance take me to davids bridal, but he said just pay the money because his mom spent alot of time on the jacket and accessories. Which is true and he has a point. but i'm still PI$$ED'off. If you ask me, i think the alterations lady and the bra lady are in cahoots together.

NO. NOW I'M MADDER THAN MAD. I'M COMPLETEY 100% HOT!!! I went to the bra lady this morning. Paid her her $25 consult fee for her to try and sell me the same damn bra I already own. I said hold the phone! I already got this bra and the alterations lady told me it sat too high on my chest. the bra lady told me it's not the bra, it's the alterations lady. "any good alterations lady will know how to alter this dress", and she showed me the points on the dress where it needed to be took in. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAAD!!!!

So sorry! This is crazy! But at least bra lady give you some anwers: Youre not crazy and you were right all along. any body you can find in your area on short notice? Could the bra lady give you abother name for alterations? Any way we can help?

thanks keyaira! I actually just googled alterations in my area. I just got back from a place, they gonna charge me $160. which i was trying to avoid- but after that experience, i'm willing to pay almost anything at this point. But the alterations place is taking it in EVERYWHERE. the problem was the chest - so she's going to take it in the front, sides, back, even the underskirt.

TASH......OHHHH THAT ALTERATIONS LADY WOULDVE GOT IT... SHE could've just been honest instead of sending u ALL OVER THE PLACE... WHEN SHE JUST DIDNT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING.. IM GLAD U FOUND THE "RIGHT "person now to fix it..
