Anyone go through Episcopalian marriage prep?

FI and I are supposed to do this, and we are trying to figure out what to expect.

yes i'd be interested to know as well.  We are Catholic but considering the Episcopalian faith.  My FI is divorced and the process of the Catholic annulment is grueling.  I found  a local Episcopalian church and I like how community orientated they are.

I am an Episcopal, and have been very active in my church, my fiancee grew up Catholic, but has not been to church in years.  SO choosing my church was a pretty easy decision.  He has since started going with me, and enjoys the community.  We have started our marriage prep, and it may change from minister to minister.  But it has been relatively pain free.  We have had to meet with our minister (who is a woman) 5 or 6 times.  Our only activity outside of planning our wedding has been to write a love letter to each other as if we have been married for 25 years, and see what we learned about each other.  We had to go on a date and read them to each other.  Other than that our meetings have been about planning our wedding.  Good luck, I hope what ever your experience is that it is a pleasant one.

    Lmkinser,
That sounds like a great experience and kind of fun.  I'm sure my fiancee will be less than thrilled as he hates "homework" Wink
