How was your weekend??

FI and I printed and cut ALL our invitations!!  It actually wasn't that bad, except the printer jammed and printing the last 20 took us 3 hrs (the rest didnt take long at all).  We used my work printer, c&p paper, and the work paper cutter and I think they look pretty good.  I also bought a stamp for the RSVP envelopes so we don't have to hand address them.  Will PIP once we get the invites matted/assembled in the pocketfold.

    That's awesome!! You are so on top of things. I wish I could get motivated to print my invitations. Can't wait to see pics!

    My weekend was pretty good- sooo busy! We had a party Friday night, a party Saturday night, and a service event Saturday afternoon with my undergrad's alumni association. We finished Christmas shopping and wrapping yesterday, too. I don't like busy weekends because they fly by so fast :(

    The FI's brother and sister in law came over this weekend. We had a great time, and they enjoyed seeing Pittsburgh for the first time.

    I also got my invitation sample in, which was unfortunately cut off incorrectly. Grrr... So I had my cousin (who designed them) change them to resend.

    Md- I wish I was allowed to print on our copier and had a nice cutter :-( They won't let me use the color copier at work and we don't have a big cutter unforunately.

    Mook- A busy weekend, but sounds like fun!

    FI and I set a date and booked our reception venue !! Finally!! I'm so excited about it and happy that I have finally checked something of the list!

    MD: Can't wait to see pics...I'm considering DIY invites but I'm not even sure where to start with them.

    We looked at another venue this weekend and I think it's the one!! I'm pretty excited but I don't want to jinx it since we haven't put a deposit down yet (we want to do a tasting with the caterer first).

    Eddie: That's exciting...what venue? What date?

    Sounds like everyone had productive weekends!!

    yay, everyone is being productive!

    sari - i'm really lucky that my work doesnt care.  We have SO many printers something like 50) so they dont care if you do personal printing on occasion.  I think they would have looked nicer if we paid someone to print/cut but I think they look nice anyway.

    mook - wow, what a busy weekend.  Hope you get some relaxing days soon.

    eddies - what venue/date?

    Bigelow conference and reception center in oakland behind soliders and sailors. April 2013. Its next to 20th century club. I have driven by it 100s of times and never thought about it till someone reccommed it to me. It's amazing inside!Marble staircase and crystal chandlers. Gorgeous!! FI was actually the one to say let's book it!

    Hi Ladies!!
     This weekend was lovely, FI and I took off on Friday to do some house shopping and wedding shopping. House shopping was a bust. We did end up finding ties for our GM. We got them at Express, so I have to say if your GM are wearing suits check out their tie collection.

    Saturday I worked and was completely lazy the rest of the day!! 

    Sunday was more house shopping. 

    May I recommend to everyone out there to not house shop and plan a wedding while so close to every major holiday possible.. 

    Other then that I hope everyone is doing well, it's sounds like everyone is staying busy. I feel like before I know it, it's going to be my wedding day. CRAZY stuff!
