Married! Vendor Reviews

Well, I never thought this day would get here, but after 3 years of being engaged, I am finally married! We had a perfect wedding with absolutely no issues.  All of the family behaved too, which suprised the hell out of me!  All of my vendors were great!  Everyone gets an A+

Ceremony Venue: Prince of Peace Catholic Church
I can't say enough good things about this church.  We actually picked the Mary Chapel to have the wedding in, because it is alot more intimate.  It was a beautiful ceremony and I loved the way the light was shining through the windows.  Paula, Father John, our wedding coordinator and the musicians were absolutley amazing.

Reception Venue:  Le Jardin
Dana is an awesome wedding coordinator. She made sure everything happened the way I wanted it.  She ordered all of the linens for me, coordinated the cake and set up everything for me.  They even took down and packed up all of my centerpieces afterwards.  She even made sure that all of the cards got packed in my car.  I didn't have to worry about anything.  They were so nice, they even packed up a dinner for me and my husband for after the wedding. It was really nice having someone work behind the scenes worrying about everything so I didn't have to.  I am not aware of any problems, if there were, she took care of them without me knowing. Smile

Bouquet: Etsy Seller Artsybutterfly
Sarah is absolutley amazing. Her work stuns me.  I ordered the most gorgeous vintage/vineyard/brooch fabric flower bouquet I have ever seen.  She hand made every single flower. This was one of my favorite details about the wedding.

DJ: Family Friend, Anthony Frazier
Anthony is absolutley amazing.  I was a little skeptical at first, because I have heard horror stories of friends DJ'ing a wedding and it being terrible.  Anthony was great!  He actually used a combination of my ipod and his computer and you could not tell the difference.  He was very interactive, got people out there dancing and everyone had a great time....no one wanted to leave!

Rehearsal Dinner: Carriage House Cafe
This is a little mom and pop restaurant that has awesome food at really great prices.  We had 30 people there and we only paid $280.00. The atmosphere is a little strange, but we don't care.  We love the food, and I think it is important to support your local mom and pop restaurants. Everyone mentioned how good the food was.

Photography: Thephotojock.com  Steven & Dusti Baldwin
Steve and Dusti are actually my sister and brother in law.  They are absolutely amazing.  I had no idea they were even around during my wedding, and they got over 1800 shots!  They are a team, so they were able to shoot me and my husband both while we were getting ready. There are a few sneak peeks on here and also my bridals.  I think their work is amazing, and I had fun working with them.

Videography: Brian & Shawne Moore
Brian and Shawne are actually family friends that started a videography business.  They were very professional and made sure they captured every single detail.  I can not wait to see the video!

My Dress: The Princess Bridal
I saw my dress online and fell in love.  Unfortunately, they did not have it in to try on.  Denise called up the designer and had the dress flown in for me so I could try it on to make sure I liked it.  I fell in love and ordered it.  They were very easy to work with and let me pay 1/2 down to order and then the other 1/2 when it came in.  Alterations were a little pricey, but I took into account that my dress was all lace and had to have 2 hems.

Hair & Makeup: Hilda Kershman
Hilda is a doll!  I absoultey love this lady.  She is so sweet and gave me tips that I didn't even think of!  My makeup looked great and my hair did not fall....in fact, it was still up when I took all of the bobby pins out.  She was well worth it.

Invitaions: Etsy Seller Paintingsbyshanon
I LOVED my invitations!  This was one of my splurges, but I had to have them.  Every invite was hand painted with the detail work.  She was a pleasure to work with!

Bridesmaid Dresses: Ventura Bridal
The prices here were great, and they were very accomodating.  The dresses came in with plenty of time left over, and everyone that I delt with there was very nice. And the dreses looked great!

Tuxes: Al's Formal Wear, Willowbrook
Tim was so awesome!  I actually filled out a form online, and he called me within 10 minutes to set up an appointment, because my wedding was during prom season!  He wanted to make sure that the tuxes were ordered in plenty of time.  They helped us pick out our look and made sure everything was perfect.  It was crazy when we went to pick up the tuxes because of all the teenagers.  We also got the grooms tux for free.

I hope I didn't forget anyone.  I have a few pictures of the details on my wedding website, and here are a few shots from the bridals and non pro wedding pics. Sorry they are kind of small...they are off of my phone. I should have more pictures and the video this weekend and I will post them.
