I'm freaking out

hello ladies.....

I was on this board and then have been around but on the October 2010 board since it was more about wedding less about not wedding.... anyways  I need your help...

I am FREAKED OUT about how costly the wedding is getting and it is getting out of hand I feel.... and I am not loving my venue any more....

I want to look at other venues to see if I am making the right decisions.... any suggestions on venues for both ceremony and reception here in the IE somewhere, preferably corona/riverside?

    I love love loved my venue and it was all inclusive. We got married at the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel in Buena Park ;)

    I think we all go through that moment of panic where you feel like nothing is going right, just stick it out :)

    Where are you getting married again? You bio link isn't working.

    My FI and I switched venues. We originally had a deposit on one venue...then we went and saw our current venue and knew that was were we wanted to get married. It did mean that we had to spend a little more and cut the guest list but we felt that it was worth it. I am sooooo glad we switched.

    Have you looked at Green River Golf Club? I know they do everything thing there and they are in Corona. Mission Inn? Crestmore Manor? Edwards Mansion?

    it is the doubletree santa ana..... my bio doesnt work... CRAP... I have felt this way a while, I knew I wasnt gettting what I wanted but that is because when we got engaged I just assumed I would marry where I used to work, not actually look for places.


    It will all work out eventually.

    We had our reception at The Mitten Building in Redlands I know its not Riverside/Corona area but I loved our reception venue and they also do ceremonies Good luck

    Good point! When I first read it I thought she was talking about the October 2010 board then when I reread it I realized she meant us, Our board has been 75% non wedding stuff for years even back when we were planning our own weddings

    yup! That is what makes our board so special is we know about each others lives so much more becuase its not all just wedding crap. It is nice to get the break from it

    We have no problems talking about wedding things.  You have to ask.  Most of us are married so we're obviously not going to talk weddings 24/7 now.  But since we are all married for the most part we know exactly what we're talking about when it comes to the wedding topics.  If you ask we will answer. 

    You're comment above was rude to say we suck because we don't talk weddings but I need your help anyway.  I know you didn't say it in those words but your wording made it seem like it.

    Kasi my favorite is the random shameless company promotion!

    I do agree with the girls though in the sense that it does kind of feel like a back handed comment. Just because we dont talk about weddings all the time doesnt mean that we are not open to it. Most of us are OMH's that have been here a long time so we can get sidetracked easily BUT that doesnt mean we are not open to talking about wedding stuff. After all, this is a wedding site. I dont think any of the OMH's would even be here if it were not for our love of all things wedding. Personally, I went through wedding withdrawls after my wedding so I am always excited to talk weddings and give advice.
