Postage

We have to send invitations to guests in Canada and the United Kingdom. Of course to send it to them it will require more than my other wedding invites but what am I supposed to put on their RSVP? Is that their responsibility for being out of country?

Also we have a military couple stationed in Germany, is that just regular postage to send to them? What do we do about their RSVP envelope?

TIA!

Re: Postage

  • This came up recently, theres nothing you can do aside from going to the country and buying stamps. Address them but don't put a stamp on them.

  • I think you should ask the post office about correct postage to get them to your guests. I would either leave the RSVP envelope without a stamp or put a note in the invite to call or e-mail their RSVP so they don't have to use their own stamp.

  • If the military family is an AP (like APE) then it's regular postage. It would be the same on the RSVP too. It's just like a little bit of USA far away.

If they have a straight germany address then it's out of country postage.

Make sure the military family knows it's coming... speaking from experience thier mail can sometimes be sloooooow
