Florist Recommendations northwest suburbs

Hi! This is my first post here! I was wondering if anyone had any florist recommendations in the northwest suburbs of Chicago! My ceremony is in Barrington and my reception is in streamwood.

Thanks!!

    Florist – Unique Floral
170 Marsch Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538
    Phone: 630.897.5847
Contact & Owner: Amy Tellner (awesome)

She will travel... she is coming into the city for my wedding. She is awesome. She spent a lot of time on my quote and she also took the time to look through my pintrest wedding pages to help get a better idea of the look I am going for.

She is also VERY affordable. She beat all over vendors by $500 - $700 easily.

i agree with pp. i emailed amy and she was the first one to email me back, the first one to email me a rough estimate. i asked her opinion for some centerpiece ides on a budget: she did a mock up centerpiece and emailed me the pictures. i'm very impressed with her. AND THE BEST PART is that she was cheaper than the other five florists i contacted. i cant wait to sign a contract with her.

I would recommend Kim Dunlap of Kimberose Flowers.  She is from the Crystal Lake area but travels to you for consultation.  She is incredibly budget friendly.  We asked her to try something she had never done before (slide #106....flowers attached to BM clutches), and she not only was excited for the challenge, she did an amazing job!

Just prior to our ceremony, we realized we were short one corsage (by OUR mistake, not hers), and she was able to replicate one on the spot at church because she had brought extra supplies in her van in case of emergency.  Her set up at our reception was also impeccable!

In the gallery, we are images 105-110.

We are the June 11, 2011 wedding on her FB page......

  • I ditto both PPs. We met with Amy and Kim. We loved both of them and they both had great prices. Definitely worth checking both of them out!

I highly recommend Blooming Creations in Bartlett.  Kim owns her own business and does it out of her house, so she is more reasonably priced.  She will meet you anywhere for consultations.  I had very specific ideas about what I wanted and Kim totally understood my vision and put it together perfectly.  I purchased all my own candelabras and urns and she had no problem keeping them at her house for a couple months before the wedding.  She is very creative and does amazing work for a great price.

  • What is the best way to get a quote from Kim?  I sent her 2 emails and got no response.

This very much surprises me, as Kim was incredibly swift in her communications.  I don't know how long you have been trying to contact her.  If it's only been a week or so, perhaps she is out of town.  This is the email address I used with her:

    kimdunlap@kimberose.com,

I know a friend of my daughter is currently working with her, so Kim is definitely still working.  I would suggest you try to stick with her, as I feel she is well worth the patience.  Once you do make initial contact, there should not be another issue.  She would even notify us if she were out of town over the weekend, just so we would not worry or feel ignored!

Thanks.  She finally emailed me back today saying she's too busy to help me for my September 2013 wedding.  I first emailed her back in March and sent a follow-up email recently.  Anyway, still on the search...
