Restaurant Receptions

I am in search of a restaurant or smaller venue to host a reception for 80-100 guests. I would like to remain in either Hudson, Essex, Passaic or Morris county.

My budget is about 80-100 per guest .. I dont need anything too fancy either. Any assistance would be great.
Thank you.

My dad suggested this place in Jersey City when we were first looking for a hall, but since we have more than 100 guests it was too small: http://thepointerestaurant.com/

Maybe look into The Restaurant in Hackensack as well. (That's Bergen County but it's close ot Hudson.)

The Chandelier in Bayonne has good food and looks really nice on the inside (it was re-done within the past five years so everything is nice and new). The downside is that it's attached to a diner - separate entrances, though - and has no outside grounds for photos. But once you get inside it's lovely, and there is a park five minutes away where you can take photos. A friend of mine was a BM in a wedding there and said it was very affordable, and I've been there for a few parties and awards dinners and the food was very good.

I've also been to a few awards dinners and showers at Casino in the Park in Jersey City. Again, really no outside grounds, but the inside is O.K. and the food is pretty good.

Liberty House should be in your range if you are not looking to rent out the hall part.  I assume they have a room you could use.  A lot of restaurants in Hoboken on Hudson St. would give you a nice view of the water.

Any particular type of food?  Are you looking for a 3 or 4 course meal or do you want appetizers as well?  Do you need a private room?

I would like to have some dancing involved too .. this may be asking too much.

I am open to food - Italian and American fare seems to be the easiest.

Thank you all for the help so far .. I will check out these places this week.
