Photo-Sharing New Find

I know that there are a ton of different photo-sharing sites out there, but I was looking for a site where the pictures are collected but guests won't have to create an account in order to use it.  I thought I found one at www.iRave.com, but that ended up being a dud.

I saw a post somewhere else on here about www.WeddingTurtle.com and I set up an account... it's pretty great!  All you have to do is provide the website address OR the email address to your guests and then they can either email the photos in, or upload them online.  You can password-protect it so that only your guests can get into the area to upload your pictures.

Anyway, just thought I'd post it for those looking for a photo-sharing site.  There are more out there, for sure.  If you guys have a website that you also had a good experience with on photo-sharing, I'm definitely willing to consider alternatives and we don't need to print the photo-sharing info cards until May or so.  :-)

Nice find.  Hardly any of my guests shared their photos which ended up to be fine because we had an awesome photographer but it was disappointing none the less.  Maybe it was because they had to hold onto the card for the login instructions and they just weren't interested in doing that.  Having a site with no login requirements sounds great!

I was inspired by this post to go back and look at the pictures on our photo sharing site.  I had loaded our e-pics and shower pics to the site.  It was fun to go back and look at the pictures.  Smile

I don't know anything about this site, but in general, read the fine print because even though sites will allow you and others to upload pics not all of them allow you to download them or print them.

Good point, uneek!  WIll definitely investigate into the fine print for sure.  I do hate when they seem like one thing but then you can't get the pictures off of the site, for sure.  It's like a bait and switch scam, almost!

If I find anymore sites I'll post them!

Oh YAY!  Okay so after uneek suggested checking the fine print on www.weddingturtle.com (or any other photo sharing site I find), I did... and I tested it...

I can actually download the image that the user has uploaded.  Online I can view it in low quality but it downloads in the original high quality.  Also, I can order prints directly from them, OR I can just download and do what I want with them.  Plus, my guests can also order prints, so if they see something they like when they are surfing or uploading pictures, they can order a print of the photo they want and I don't have to be in the middle of it.

I'm gushing a bit about this website right now but so far I'm REALLY impressed.  It also sends 200 free business-card or post-card size announcement cards you can pass out to your guests or tie on your favors (for FREE!).  :-)

that's pretty cool. I was looking for something that would allow you to download the high resolution photos. Thanks for sharing, I'll definately check it out!!

Awesome, I will have to check it out!

Thanks for posting.  I will have to check it out.  I thought I would just use photobucket, but it is true that people would probably lose the card or forget the login by the time it would be time to upload them.  It would be beneficial to have a website with no password.
