Shout out to my 'maids

Reading some of the posts about rogue MOH's and aloof bridesmaids has made me realize what a great group of family and friends that I have...and I don't think I tell them that enough!  I have my long time best friend, two friends from my sorority/college, a FSIL, and a family friend that are apart of my wedding party.

I have never requested anything from them (except to buy a dress and stand up for me at the wedding), but they continue to go above and beyond any expectations I have ever had.  I couldn't be more lucky!

Sorry if this was a little soapbox-y!  I'm not trying to brag, just even out all of the negative energy about wedding parties that is out there on TK.  Go ahead and give your girls some kudos, I am sure they deserve it!  Good luck to all of the brides out there!

    I agree.  My friends have been wonderful!  One of my best friends is having a baby 3 weeks before, and she is still gung-ho on being at my wedding half way across the country!  I've tried to keep the stuff involving them to a minimum though.  They have their own lives and are so sweet to always ask how things are going.  They are also throwing me a shower and b-party while I'm at home.  I'm so blessed!  I hope things improve for those ladies who aren't having as good of experiences with their BMs.

    I agree with you (besides my sister (BM)), I havent asked my girls (BFF's - MOH and BM) to do anything and they just go above and beyond. I truly LOVE my friends.

    I'll also admit that other than my one BM who is a PITA right now, my other girls have been awesome! Very thankful that they have been helping me keep my sanity!

    I agree with you too. My sister aka MOH has had a big part of my planning and has helped me with everything I've asked. I haven't asked the other girls to do much of anything.... just buy their dresses and one helped me put the invites together. Im greatful to have the group of friends that I do have and can always count on them when I need to.
