Wedding Hair...is everyone growing their hair long?

I have about chin length hair...and have over a year until the wedding.  Has anyone seen any cute wedding hair styles that work with shorter hair?  I just haven't decided if I really want to grow it out.  I appreciate your thoughts :)

I cut my hair a year ago, and I regretted it because my hair grows slow. I ended up getting extensions and have been very happy with them!

I'm with you too. I'm growing mine out from a bob for the wedding and its about 2 inches below my shoulders right now and I hate it! I will probably cut it back into a bob when we get back from the honeymoon. I didn't see any shorter hair options that I really liked, and unfortunately, mine might not be long enough by the wedding to do what I want either.

My hair was probably just past my shoulders when I got engaged.  My stylist suggested growing it out a little longer for the wedding that way we would have more style options.

You can always cut short again after the wedding.

My hair has been long-ish my whole life. At the moment, it is actually around a few inches past my shoulders. I'm not planning on doing anything extravagant with it either.

I don't think you would really have a problem with chin length hair though...you can still jazz it up and make it look formal! TheKnot has a lot of hairstyle pics to check out. GL! =)

I grew my hair long.  I can't wait to get it cut but there's just been so much to do since the wedding.

My hair is already fairly long.  Its probably 10 or 11 inches past my shoulders . I didn't grow it out for the wedding. I like my long hair but I have not cut it yet because I want to wait till after the wedding.

I haven't cut mine since September since I want to grow it out... and I won't be cutting it until after the wedding in March, eek! lol I have a thyroid deficiency though so my hair grows really REALLY REALLY sloooooooooooooow. I got human hair extensions from Sally's for $80 & they're the best invention EVER! They clip in & stay in really well, plus they make my hair look much longer & fuller. I'd definitely recommend them if you end up wanting longer hair for the wedding.

Wow!  That isn't bad for extensions!  Love the suggestion, thanks :)

My hair does grow fairly fast so we'll see!

Definitely not a bad price, I shopped around quite a bit. They're also the best quality ones available (unprocessed/treated hair) Here are pictures. They look pretty natural, especially considering they're at least a foot longer then my hair is naturally. haha

This is how long my hair is naturally...

&&&& extensions. Viola! (not the most flattering picture... but you get the idea. lol)

I used clip-in extensions that I bought for a salon.  They matched my hair perfectly and I used for my shower, bachelorette party and all wedding weekend events.  This why my pictures all match.  Plus I flet like I had Pantene hair the whole time.  I LOVED them and still use them all of the time!

Im a hairstylist and it does seem like everyone is growing their hair out for weddings.  It makes it easier to have a nice full up-do that can support the weight of a veil.  Short is very cute though.  If you prefer yourself with a stylish bob you can still dress your hair up with decorated hair pins and a short veil.  Check Claires or Icing in the mall, Sally's and Bridal shops for beautiful hair pieces, and play with your hair different ways while it's still short to get an idea of what it might be like.  Hope this helps!

I did the hair extension thing too! Mine were very inexpensive, about $80 from Sally's. I just got lucky though and found some that matched my natural hair color perfectly! I spent almost a year trying to grow mine out, and actually did my hair trial without them, and just wasn't happy! So litterally, I went the weekend before my wedding and got them and I am SOOO happy I did!

Just make sure if you get them, that you get 100% human hair. Otherwise you can't use heat styling on them! :)
