Little vent

Most of you know about my BF or XBF as we decided to call her a few months ago, well anyway, I thought she would've txt me or even called me on my wedding day to say good luck or have a great day or even congrats. Ya, I got nothing from her. I was very surprised and hurt. I woke up that morning to a text from My XSIL, who you all know I'm close too, wishing me luck etc. It was so nice to hear from her knowing deep down she wished things worked out with my XH but she knows DH is way better for me and is truly happy for me. I finally heard from my BF hours after my wedding Only because I sent her a pic. I did hear from my family and other friends, but I am totally hurt by her. It's like it was no big deal. She did say if I'm going out to celebrate when I got home to call her, gee thanks! Maybe I expected too much??

    I'm with you.  I went out with a very good friend last weekend to help him shop.  He couldn't make the wedding due to finances and this is the first time I've actually spoken with him since the wedding.  Nothing.  Not even a how was it, congratulations, nothing.  I don't expect to talk only about me, but I was a little surprised that  he wouldn't even mention it.  I totally understand your frustration.  Don't know what I could say to help though

    I completely understand.  Most of my "good" friends didn't text or even fb me anything about the wedding.  I was disappointed too.  I guess it helped me see who my real friends are, still stunk though since I know I'd be there for them.  At least you have us =)

    That's pretty bad. I can't believe she didn't say anything. Unless she's mad at you for not telling her that you were getting married. Which is pretty selfish if you ask me. I personally found out who my friends were when I left my XH. NONE of them called me to see what happened. In a strange way I was not surprised and I still don't miss them.

    She did say that the pic looked nice. I guess I just expected my BF to call or text me before I got married to wish me luck or even a congrats after she knew it was over. I told her the time of the wedding which was 4 PM her time so it's not like it was early or late, in fact she gets out of work at 3:30.

    Girl, I had the exact same scenario.  I will say she was commenting on FB and saying how much she wished she could be there, but has yet to call and ask me how my day was... REALLY??  I'm sorry, but people I barely talk to were commenting on FB - anyone has time for that.  You can't pick up the phone and call and show true concern?

    Totally understand and I wish I had something to say to make ya feel better.  Very hurtful! :(

    I'm glad, I'm not over reacting. I guess I shouldn't be surprised with this. She could be upset I didn't tell her but I told her the same day I told my family, she's not more important than them so I didn't tell her before then. Oh well, I see who my true friends are.
