Budget Friendly Wedding

Me and my FI are on a budget for our wedding and was hoping we could get some help. We are hoping to spend approx. $30 per person for food. Having both the ceremony and reception at the same venue and hoping that to be around $2,000 or alot less would be nice. Also, we don't mind if the venue doens't provide catering. But if anyone could help us out with a budget friendly catering service that would be great too :)

    If the above post sounds at all confusing: we are willing to pay $30 per plate plus $2000 (or less lol) for venue.

    If you'd be willing to do an outdoor venue you would save a lot-many gardens charge very low fees to use their spaces-I've seen as low as 300 for the whole day.

    I'm using an outdoor venue for both ceremony and reception and it is only $500, also I'm saving a lot of money by just doing  appetizers.

    Our wedding starts at 1pm so we thought we could get away with it. Our caterer is doing 9 appetizers, 1 is a desert platter and 1 is a salad for 100 people and it cost 2200 and that includes  2 drink options and a bartender since we are having a signature drink, beer and wine.

    Harbor Hills Country Club in Lady Lake Fl but then you have to have a brunch wedding.. or maybe appetizers?

    Try 310 Lakeside on Lake Eola in downtown. We are doing ceremony on brick patio outside overlooking lake ($100 fee) and a nice champagne brunch for only $16 per person Amazing prices, nice place, nice views

    lissamon, can you name some gardens that you have found for that inexpensive? Intimate garden wedding is my ideal and I've had no luck!

    Depending on were you are located, Rossetter House in  Downtown Melbourne is perfect for an intimate garden wedding.

    They cost between $200-$500 depending on how long the event is, and they help direct parking an are on hand to help with other stuff.

    They even have a bridal suit that is included int he price.
