Bridesmaid Dresses

Some of my BM are having a difficult time finding what they want for their dresses so they would like to get their themcustom made. Can anyone recommend a seamstress?

custom made? sounds expensive...see the post below on 'difficult bridesmaid' before you set your girls up with a seamstress.

Custom made was probably the wrong term. Some of them are interested in finding a pattern and fabric then having someone make the dress. Custom made from scratch would be expensive.

A friend of mine from work is putting together a line for a fashion show in two weeks, and I am one of her five models! The dress will be finished this weekend, so I'll let you know how it goes. My wedding is in December, and I've already asked if she'd be interested in making a dress for one of my tall and petite BM's if her fashion show goes well. We're very excited!

I know most brides and women in general would be reluctant about this, but I found a guy on Ebay, I've used him for my prom dresses, my sweet sixteen and he even custom made my mom a few dresses. He is in China, so it takes a few months to get the dresses, but seriously I had him custom make our dresses and they truned out AMAZING! We took the top of one dress, the bottom of another, and the color of a third and within 2 months we had the dress and it was perfect! Our only contact was htrough e-mail. And you can send him a photo of anything and he will make it for you.
He recreated a Pnina Tornai $2,500 dress forme for $250, and the only difference was mine had less beading and wasn't expensive crystals. The material was just like every other satin and everything.

This is the orginal Pnina dress he made for me!
I would suggest him to anyone and everyone!
    His store is http://stores.ebay.com/April-Bridal?_rdc=1
I honestly cannot even describe how thrilled I have been with each dress he has made me!

Here's the one lady I've hear of in KC.

You could also try etsy.  Just make sure you read the reviews and provide detailed info.  There are some very talented people on there!
