Hey Ladies,

I wanted to go to Hawaii for my honeymoon, but it's just not in the finances. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about St. Maarteen? We've been looking at that as one of our choices. I've been trying to see other places was out there, but not having much luck. I'm trying to

    From what I hear St. Maarteen and St. Lucia are both beautiful! When is your wedding date?  Are you a member of Costso or Sams Club? Quiet as kept they have a lot of travel deals that people don't know about. Also try AAA.

    When are you trying to go? I looked up some rates for Toiizloved (I'm a TA as well). Inbox me if you want me to find something for you.

    I went to St. Maarteen in March. It was beautiful. I liked the island because you can go off the resort and tour the Island on your own. My hubby and I got on the local bus (actually a minivan) and rode everywhere for a dollar. The island is very safe and the people are very friendly. The shopping is great and you cannot beat the price on liquor. A bottle of Grey Goose was $12! at home it is $25. We brought home 5 bottles. We stayed on the Dutch side and visited the French side. We had a ball.  You can PM me if you have anymore questions.

    Hi Anjee. Hubby and I just visited St. Maarten/St. Martin at the beginning of October for our honeymoon cruise. We visited several islands and I found St. Kitts and St. Maarten to be the most prettiest. We had the most fun in St. Lucia. There is so much to do in St. Maarten. I think you would truly enjoy it. Divi little bay is a nice resort on the Dutch side. This is were we have our TS. If you do go to St. Martin, go to Orient Beach and Sarafina's on the French side. They have the best pastries!!! On the Dutch side, a once in a lifetime opportunity is to see the planes fly literally right over your head at Maho Beach. Also, have you looked into St. Kitts or Aruba? What kind of activities are you looking to do on your honeymoon...RR, zip lining, sightseeing, cultural, beach? Definitely look at tripadvisor.com for reviews. And if you want to experience all the islands and if you don't mind a cruise, check out the one that leaves out of San Juan. It travels to St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Maarten.     Thank you!!! No; I haven't looked into St. Kitts...I've never heard of that place. I'll have to do that. I just loveeeee this forum...ya'll are so helpful. I'm looking to do everything we can...I'm far from picky. LOL! On our cruise last year we went parasailing...now that was nice! II love the beach and sightseeing. Idk about the zip lining though.LOL I  found airfare round trip leaving out of Detroit for $1207 with taxes and fees included for both of us.
