Well FI finally didn't have to work or sleep a way a Saturday and we put it to great use! We bought all but 2 Christmas presents for our families! I took FI to look at rings in the mall (the original one we looked at the jeweler he got my engagement ring at was $1100!!) So I said we should check out the chain stores and we found exactly the same thing we were looking for for right around $200! What a difference!
We had our cake tasting today and I would say it went great! I got a great cake for within my budget! (Even though I think my mom still wasn't pleased with what I came out with...oh well!) We choose banana with buttercream, pink champaigne with strawberry preserves, and a yellow cake with raspberry filling! I can't wait!! Ha and the lady goes you guys most likely won't even get cake that day and my FI laughed out loud. Clearly she doesn't know me. I LOVE dessert and I hand picked the flavors because they are amazing...I'll be damned if I'm not getting a small slice of each and stuffing my face at some point that day!!!
We settled on something unique in stead of going for height so we are have a 4-tiered octagon cake inspired by this:
It will be a mainly white cake with some silver details and a purple cake topper that matches my flower. The whole cake will also get pearlized. The bottom layer is inspired by this pattern:
Then the rest of the tiers are inspired by my original inspiration picture:
The second tier will have the M's all the way around it. The Third will match the 3rd tier on that cake as well. And the top layer will a variation of the top tier of that cake.

Then we also met with our dj to make some preliminary mixes for our introductions to the ceremony and a few other songs. The grandparents and parents will enter to the Dating Game theme song from back in the days. Then my bridal party will enter to a section of Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. Then C and I will enter to a mix that starts with the intro to ABCs Sunday Night Football theme blended into the chorus of Tonight by Black Eyed Peas!!!!! I'm beyond excited about it! He is going to send us the full cut sometime this week!
Today was actually a super fun day of planning and has got me even more pumped to get married! This wedding is turning out to be everything I ever dreamed of and its pretty hard to believe. I can't wait to enjoy all my hard work
