I haven't watched this show in a while but I took advantage of the fact that FI is out tonight and flipped it on. Well, it's giving me major dress doubt. I am so tempted to go out and dress shop again...I wish I would have gone shopping by myself just once. I just wanted to vent my nervousness about my gown

I find watching it only confirms my choice. I have yet to see a dress that has caused me to second guess my choice. I have seen some very pretty dresses that I might consider for my second marriage. Just kidding lol

Lol. I totally get that! I think part of my issue is that i never got to try on a mermaid and I find them so completely beautiful and chic. I couldn't wiggle myself into the samples of the mermaids because of my hips. Lol I just wish i could have tried one on. Or even a lace more fitted dress.

Is there any way you can go try your own dress on again? Maybe having it on will help quell the doubt you're feeling. Why don't you go to the mall and try on a mermaid-style ballgown? One that's meant for formal occasions, not a wedding. Then you could see how the sillhouette looks on you, and that might help with some of the regret, too. You can always find a reason to buy a formal dress- you never know when you'll need a gown for a black-tie affair.

I like jacquiroxx's idea of trying on a mermaid style dress at the mall. And seeing if you can try your dress on again. Also, try thinking about how the dress you chose made you feel, you must have chosen it as "THE DRESS" for a reason! =]

I think dress doubt is SO SO common. I'm still waiting for mine to come in so I haven't seen it in 6 months. So during this time all I do is freak out lol. My friend drags me to a dress store the other day cause she wants to look at headpieces. This is my first trip to a store since I bought the dress. It's a BAD idea but obviously I paw through the racks like a mad woman. And you know what? I didn't see anything that I liked better than what I remember my dress looking. TLDR: You made the right choice. Your dress is fantastic. You will look amazing on your wedding day!

LOL that's hilarious! You totally made me laugh!! It is amazing! I won't be seeing it until June and am just so stupid nervous. But maybe I ought to try on something at the mall just to make myself feel better. I'm pretty sure I won't look as good in a mermaid anyway. I'm not nearly tall enough or slender enough for it.

Can you go try on your dress again? I bet that will make you feel a lot better!

This happens a lot to me with bridesmaid dresses. I get really freaked out, but every time I see them in person, I feel better.

</div><div>I tried on a few mermaid dresses but I didn't like them. I'm extremely short (5'2) with a really short torso. I'm pretty thin but not a stick. They just weren't very flattering on me. I felt kinda round. </div>

And, maybe go see if the salon will let you try the sample on again (if they say no remind them you helped them out by delaying when you'd get your dress!!!).</div>

Doubt keeps creeping in when I watch that show too but I try to focus on why I bought my dress in the first place and then I remind myself that just bc a dress looks great on the girl on TV doesn't mean it would look good on me. I agree with PPs... just focus on why you got the dress and how you felt in it and the reactions your entourage had when they saw you in it. I think doubt is normal but don't let it get to you!

I doubt this will comfort you. Buttt...

I was supposed to get married this past December, we decided it would be better to put the wedding on hold until this September (our 8 year dating anniversary). Needless to say I had already ordered a dress. Paid for it and everything. I had MAJOR doubt and realized the dress wasn't for me at all.... So once we officially changed the wedding date I decided to restart my dress hunt.

I ended up ordering a second dress... and it is PERFECT!

My advice... You are only getting married once. If you think you will be unhappy on your wedding day... go out looking again! No one cares more about your wedding than YOU do! Just follow your heart and it will all be perfect!

I have the same issue !!! But I know that when I tried on my dress that I was IN LOVE with it !! Keep that feeling from when YOU Said Yes To The Dress in mind !!! You made the perfect choice...those wedding shows are helpful/dangerous .
