Kids at Bachelor/Bachelorette Weekend?

My future SIL and her husband were invited to our Bachelor/Bachelorette party in Vegas for a weekend. My FI's parents said they would watch the little ones while we are gone at home, which would be awesome. A couple of days ago, my FI overheard them saying that they could watch the kids in Vegas if SIL and husband wanted to bring them with. I feel it's inappropriate to bring a toddler and a 4 year old to a Vegas, adults only trip. Either way, I wouldn't say anything to them, I just wanted opinions and if I'm justified in thinking this would be a little strange....

I am glad you're not going to say anything. Whether or not they bring their kids is not your place to decide. There are a lot of things for kids to do in Vegas and plus, you have grandparents/babysitters. You won't even notice the kids there. Would you rather them leave the kids at home with an overnight sitter who will most likely be a 16 year old girl who barely watches them? No.

As long as they don't try to bring the kids along to the actual party, it isn't really your concern.

My FI's parents said they would stay behind and watch them at home. So if they stayed behind it would be with them.

So the kids will be staying with your fiance's parents.....therefore, nothing you can do about it. Be happy that your FSIL and her husband are coming to vegas at all.

Am I reading that your FSIL said that your FILs could watch the kids IN Vegas, for them? That is a litlle confusing. I don't understand why you would bring your kids to Vegas fo an adults only party. I also don't understand why you would invite your parents to your brother's b-party weekend in Vegas just to watch your kids, which they could do at home.

Either way, its weird to me, but to each his own. If they are bringing the kids with them, then you can probably count them out for the all-night parties..

I should add that while you're out with your FSIL and husby, your future niece/nephew and your FILs will probably be either in the hotel room, going to M&M's world, checking out the shops in the themed hotels, etc....

And you will probably drinking it up at Tao or something. Are your FSIL and her husby the ONLY people coming with you? If not, I'd DEF not worry about it. When they leave for the night to retire, you'll still have other guests. If not, they may stay with you two all night because they have babysitters.

Sorry, didn't mean to make it confusing. My FI's and his sister's parents (the grandparents of the kids) said they could watch the kids in Vegas or at home. Depending on what FI's sister wanted to do.

Oh Suz, you have got it made then. Not only do you get to spend time with your FSIL, but you have tons of other guests to have fun with after she and her husby have left the clubs.

Oh and to the person who talked about it being weird about the parents attending....I actually had this. My mom came to my wine tasting Bparty. But I should add that I had 2 parties. The first one was the raunchy one in Vegas where we went to pole dancing classes, a strip show, and clubs.

The second party was wine tasting in CA. And she only came to the last bar. She totally drank wine from a pecker straw too. She was a good sport. When we played loud, raunchy music in the car with the windows down, she blew her "hottie whistle" at random people on the street.

I know these parents are not going out with you, but I just thought I'd share that parents don't always have to be the debbie downer of your party.

That's awesome! My parents are too conservative, but his parents are always the life of the party. They are hilarious! That's probably why they would be the ones to come to Vegas and my parents turned it down. lol.

None taken at all. I know what you mean. I have some friends' moms that would be biting down on the strippers' thongs and others that would be praying to baby jesus for all our souls to be saved.

I do too. The last B-party I went to included the MOB and we never even got to party because she got so wasted she passed out at a table and the bride ended up crying in the restroom, so we went home at like 10pm, befire the club even started getting crowded. I know my mother would not want any part of a b-party, and that makes me happy.
