Our favors are going to be scratch off lottery tickets that are going to be in a little adirondack chair.  We're having a beach theme and we were going to use the little beach chairs for the placecards but then we realized it was a perfect way to hold the lottery ticket.

The reason we are doing lottery tickets is that is how FI proposed to me.  He bought a bunch of scratch off tickets (real ones) for him and I and we sat down to scratch them off.  One of them was much harder to scratch off than the rest and then as I was doing it I realized once it was scratched off it said "Will You Marry Me?"  It was the BEST!!!  I have a love for gambling of all sorts!  LOL.  

Anyways, my question is this.  We were thinking of putting a picture on each table of me, FI and the lottery ticket he proposed with, along with a little blurb of the proposal.  This way people will get the reason we are giving scratch off lottery tickets.

What do you think?  Bother with the picture and explanation?

    I would, personally, since otherwise I'd be thinking...ok...lotto tickets...interesting... But that's me :)

    If anything I would just put a picture of the lotto ticket out. Maybe not even on the table, but where their place cards are at? That way you won't need a picture per table and it will be something the guests see right at the beginning.

    Yeah, I think it's worth a picture and a blurb explanation otherwise it's a bit of an odd favor (in my mind; I've never bought a scratch card in my life), but it should suffice to have this in one place like pp suggested.

    My MOH had lotto tickets as her favor and everyone loved them!  We all went around after the guests left and scratched the rest of them.  I personally wouldn't need an explanation but I do think it is really cute.

    I think that is a really cute idea and I would put the picture and explanation at the entrance by the guest book or placecard table.

    Thanks everyone!  I had not thought about putting it at the entrance by the placecards.  That's perfect!  It will also be where we have cocktail hour and our placecard holders are fun too so hopuflly people will take the time to look at the picture.

    One more thing taken care of!
