How long does it REALLY take for bm dresses to arrive?

So my wedding is in July 2013 and I have 7 bridesmaids wearing Bill Levkoff chiffon and charmeuse (sp?) short dresses in various cuts (I let them choose what was most comfortable for them). 

So 5 of my friends are in NJ and went to a salon last weekend, which recommended giving 6 months for the order and to account for alteration time.  This seems insane to me since my wedding dress is taking 6 months to arrive.  I've also done some internet research and I've seen anywhere from 2-7 months recommended.

They all seem to think they need to order it by January, which is their prerogative, but I have 2 bridesmaids in California, one who is currently 8 months pregnant.  We don't know if it's better to get her measured now or wait for the baby to arrive in January.  To me, I think it would be enough time to order hers in Feb or March but am I wrong?

Anyone else have an idea on Levkoff dresses? I've heard that sales people just push you to order earlier to make their commission.

    [QUOTE]They usually arrive in 3-4 months.  The salons work on commission and have to meet a monthly quota in order to keep their jobs, so they WILL push you to order right away. Don't order before the six month mark.  If your wedding is in July, order around February 1.

    Thank you, that's what my instinct was as well.  I think my friends are just being extra cautious.  It made absolutely no sense to me that a wedding dress and simple bridesmaid dress take the same amount of time.

    I had a July wedding this year and we ordered Bari Jay dresses at the end of January/beginning of February. They came in within plenty of time. My guestimate agrees with Retread, it was about 3-4 months.

    We ordered in Jan for a late May wedding.  We ordered from Pearl's Place and saved a good deal of money.  The dresses arrived in late Feb, early March.  The girls lived in different states and went to local seamstresses.
