I am thinking about not doing a bouquet for myself to carry down the isle.
I have seen some brides on 4 weddings not have them and I kind of like the idea of not having one.
what do you think about the idea?

Re: bouquest
what would you carry instead?
I'm carrying a bouquet.
Plus, if i wasn't carrying a bouquet I would feel the need to cover my face while crying because I'm an emotional basketcase and know I'll lose it and soon as I see FI.
I would think it is unorthodox but certainly acceptable, I don't see anything wrong with carrying no bouquet. Personally I prefer that people carry nothing than carry a non-flower bouquets (cotton balls, feathers, jewellery) although they are certainly becoming more common these days!
As a bride you generally have a father or mother or someone walking you down the aisle and someone to "hold on to", but the BMs might feel awkward walking down with nothing on their hands. They could be escorted by the groomsmen?
My father is walking me down the isle. I won't be carrying anything at all if i don't do a bouquet.
I haven't talked to Fl about his feelings on this yet. I just don't really see the need for the bride to have one.
[QUOTE]I think one of the better reasons for flowers is to have something to hold on to if you are nervous...but certainly no reason you NEED them... I agree it might be hard for bridesmaids to not fidget... so it might be good to at least give them a single bloom or something like that... Do what makes you comfortable ... and be yourself...

I don't have any bridesmaids just a MOH and she will be carrying a Kissing ball I made that matches the Flower girls Kissing balls.

Cotton balls? Is this a new trend? lol, I agree about the BM's feeling awkward without something to carry, but you don't have to have flowers if you don't want to.
