WOULD DO: ELOPE!!! I am happy with all my decisions. We had such a great time being together. Knowing that our families knew before we left was definately better than my origional plan to tell everyone when we got back.
Have breakfast in bed together the morning of and exchange wedding cards, letters, and gifts. Im gonna add that our gift limit was $30 because we just did our hardwood floors....well DH bought me the new style Chamelia bracelet (just came out that week) with 4 charms (4 is my lucky #) They were a bride and groom, "celebration charm (a wine bottle in a bucket..how perfect), a charm that says Soul Mate, and one that says: I love you xxx & I love you more. UH so much for the under $30 limit. He said it was part Mothers Day gift too. He also bought us Bride and Groom glasses for our champagne in the limo.
Have a hair stylist and MUA come to you. You all know I went back and forth with that decision for months. I'm so glad I spent the extra money for this, it was worth being stress free.
If you elope, Have an intimate dinner planned for your hubby. DH was totally suprised and he said besides the wedding, it was the best part of the honeymoon. It was expensive but totally worth it to see him happy and enjoy everything I will never regret spending that much money on something like what we expierenced. To us, it was priceless.
Two photshoots! Our cermoney was at 10 AM and I decided to do a second sunset photoshoot. We got a lot of awesome and different pics for doing this. DH hates getting his pictures taken but thanked me for planning this. He said it was totally worth it. Also, I paid $55 extra to have all the pics delivered to me by the time we left Hawaii. We got back yesterday and already got all the pics printed. Now we have to figure out what we want enlarged and let our families choose some also.
Make good friends with the ladies on the DW board. I think you all know how I feel about you. I can't wait to see your big days ahead!
WOULDN"T DO: Wear my wedding shoes without breaking them in. Ouchie, I got a blister on one of my toes and couldn't wear my healed sandals for the rest of our honeymoon.
Loose too much weight. Maybe I should re-phrase that. If you loose more weight, take your dress back to get fixed even if it was already altered. I didn't want to bother my seamstress but I kept having to pull my dress up.
I seriously had the wedding I dreamed of. I am so happy with every decision and the most important decision....to marry my DH. I'm so sad its over but our memories will last a lifetime!
