    I'm on Oahu and fireworks just got banned this past new year. :( sparklers included... Not sure about Maui, but from my experience, I haven't been able to buy sparklers unless it was 4th of July or New Years...

    shucks you just missed fourth of july.  they weren't banned on kauai :(  i played with the colorful ones with my nieces.... :(

    Ah! I wanted to do the sky lanterns too! I saw it on the Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo wedding and am completely obsessed about it. Such a lovely touch to the reception. =)

    I was in Maui on the 4th getting married and they outlawed all fireworks becuase of how dry it was.  Granted - on the 3rd they were still selling them at Costco, but it was a strict no-no this year....

    Our wedding is next feb. Do they sell sparklers for New Years on Maui? Where can you buy them? I totally wanted the sky lanterns but Olowalu doesn't allow them.;(

    Well it appears that the one thing i wanted for sooo long may not come to fruition so i may do this instead...wand with quadruple gold shimmer ribbon and bell. Hoping that the shimmer will show on the photos at night.  Not quite the exit i was going for but the best alternative i can come up with that is legal.
