I feel like there are a lot of new faces on this board (maybe because spring is the engagement season?? I just had two friends get engaged last week!).

    Favorite part of planning so far: Right now, I'm really enjoying all my DIY decoration projects! But overall it would probably be scoping out reception venues.

    Favorite part of planning so far: My DIY projects!  I'm looking forward to when classes let out for the semester so I can tackle some of the big (literally and figuratively) projects (my aisle runner-leaf border project, and the seat covers I need to make (ranging from 10' long to 18.8' long).
    Least favorite part of planning so far:     Dealing with vendors, seems like things keep falling through.  First it was the reception venue lady who tacked on a new fee every time we spoke, and this morning I got an email from our photographer asking if we could move the date we set up (over two months ago) to some  weekend (our shoot is ONE week from now, and we already requested the time off).  We work all weekend, every weekend.  I'm sure she doesn't remember that, but it's why we set up a middle of the week appointment in the first place.  

    I'm one of those people who once I have an idea set in stone, I hate to have my plans changed on me, makes me worry all the more.

    Wedding location: Within an hour drive from saco north or south. I am waiting for school to be done until i look at venues ( i just finished 3 major assignments that i spent over 21 hours on-- i needed some knot therapy)

    Wedding location: Vinalhaven, on my dad's wharf in the harbor

    Favorite part of planning so far: Adding Joe's two fab kids in, getting the dress, finding cool feathers and shells, daydreaming about the whole thing, seeing Joe light up when we talk about getting married.
     
    Least favorite part of planning so far: OMG MONEY!! and watching it go out the window

    . For example:renting the tent for a place 14 miles out=paying the VH Lion's Club  five hundred bucks for their tent or attempting to get one from a mainland rental place, getting it and a vehicle on the ferry, off the ferry.
    Island population swells from 1200 to  about 4000 in summer--makes getting a car on and off the boa on the days you want to  a real magic act!

    Wedding location: Ellis Park Gazebo on York beach (ceremony) my parents house in York harbor (reception)

    Favorite part of planning so far: The do-it-yourself projects, wedding bargain hunting. I bought 2 boxes of 50 somewhat plain looking invitations, for $6.48/box that I'm going to snazz up with some stamping/embossing. Also paper lanterns for the tent for $1/each, really neat clear glass tealight lanterns for the tables for $1/each, colored sand for $1 for 2 lbs...

    Least favorite part of planning so far:     Planning from afar, thereby not being able to include my mother as much as I would like... although I do get to send her on errands which she loves. :-)
