Honeymoon location for late August

Hi everyone!  My fiance and I are getting married 8/24/13 and are trying to come up with a good location for a honeymoon right after the wedding.  We'd like to go somewhere warm with beaches for about $3000-4000.  I'd like to swim with dolphins too.  Our concern though is that it is hurricane season then.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  They would be much appreciated!

    Stay on the west coast that should keep you out of hurricanes... Somewhere like Southern California.... Check out this website it helped us a lot in the planning process!

    HI's hurricane season is then too......

    if you completely want to avoid any chance of a hurricane you have to go during dec-may. otherwise plan accordingly, know what the airline and hotels cancellation.rebooking policies are, get yourself some trip insurance and go and enjoy!!

    You may want to look into Aruba, it is outside of the hurricane belt.

    We went to Mexico two years ago around that time and it was gorgeous! A lot of people think Hurricane season means rain and they are not the same. Go wherever you want and get insurance. The small tiny likelyhood that a hurricane will hit right when you are there is so small. The weather is great that time of year and it is much more affordable and less crazy.

    We went to Isla Mujeres, Mexico in mid-late July this year for our HM and it was great! For 7 days, 7 nights, the overall cost (flights, rooms, tips, excursions) was 3100. We stayed at Palace Resorts.

    We recently fell in love with Cabo. It was so much more affordable than we expected. Curaçao is also a favorite and south of the hurricaine area.
