Our high schools were rivals in sports and other events, and I coincidentally dated a classmate of his in high school too lol.

My FI and I both worked at an athletic club but at two separate locations. I worked at the front desk and account services at one location and he was a security officer at the other location. The day we met, Sergio walked into my location as I was working, to train for the position of security officer here. We had a security officer already, but ours needed to train someone and teach them the ins and outs of this location so that he could have someone cover for him if he needed a day off.

So that day we met for the first time and we got a long instantly. At the end of the day we already had inside jokes, and he walked me to my car at the end of my shift. He asked for my phone number that night as he opened my car door for me.

I was talking to his friend my senior year but it was more friends than romantic. About a year after we broke up FI and I started dating.

We met through an online dating website, okcupid.com We talked for a couple of days online and on the phone. I was filling in for the manager at the Norwood Aamco, and was freezing. I convinced him to bring me a blanket to keep me warm. This was on November 28, 2009. We have been inseparable ever since.

FI and I met online... We emailed and talked over the phone for a month before we decided to meet for lunch. When we first met I wasn't too sure that we would be anything more than friends but as time went on we eventually were inseparable .

We met at work. He saw me one day and I apparently I smiled at him when I walked by. (I do not remember, I smile at everyone) He made it his mission to find out who I was. He asked his boss if he knew about any new interns who started at our company. He thought I was just out of college. He described me to his boss who then told him that I was the new girl in the front desk.

He found a reason to come down and talk to me. Then he started to email me and we chatted back and forth. He was in a state of shock to find out not only was I NOT a college intern I am 5 yrs older then he is. Then he got shocked even more to find out I have 3 kids. Well 3.5 yrs later we are quite an amazing family and cant wait to make it all official.

We met in grad school. We're in the same department, so we actually met in the spring at visitation first since he was running it and I was visiting. He thought I was weird because I had fire engine red hair (temporary dye for swimming championships). We met again in the fall. I joined on to the department golf outing and he was again helping run it, so he put me in his cart and we talked all day. He invited me over that night to watch a movie, but we were just friends for about a month- he liked me, but I was interested in someone else. After that, with some gentle prodding from mutual friends, it clicked!

we met my senior year of high school. we had two gym classes together and i was so attracted to him that i had to talk to him. i was friends with one of his friends and that's how we started talking. he was super shy and even afraid of girls. i was his first girlfriend and hopefully his only wife

We met online through singlesnet.com in Nov. 2007... we chatted for about 2 weeks before meeting in person. Dated for about a month before becoming an official couple.

Get ready! We met in sophomore Yr English Honors my school was on lockdown he offered to walk with me get my junior yr schedule lol we kept bumping into each other at random stores during the summer. We became very close friends. Junior yr we had a class together marine bio and by Feb were dating and have been together ever since!

FI lived down the hall from me my sophomore year of college, I went looking for a friend to say hey since it was the first weekend back and met FI. When I went back to my room I told my roomie that there was a very cute boy living down the hall.

We became friends and started dating about 2 months later, we've had our bumps but we found our way back to each other and I can't wait to marry him

I like this question! Everyone's stories are so cute!

I moved to my current city 4 years ago for a job and didn't know anyone. One of the girls at my company invited me out a few times to partys at friends houses. I met my FI at one of them and thought he was really cute, but we only talked a little bit. His roomate asked me out on a few dates and I started hanging out with the group of friends with my FI. After about 6 months, my FI was one of my best friends in the group and we were hanging out all time. I had a crush on him for months before he made a move.....I wasn't sure if he liked me, and I didn't want to mess up our friendship, so I was afraid to. I'm so glad he did though

We met in 4th grade and were in the same group of friends throughout junior high and high school. We started dating the summer before our senior year of HS while both working as lifeguards at the community pool, and we have been together since.

We initially met in the tenth grade..I was 15 years old. ..it was only a 'hi, bye' kinda relationship..lol. I thought he was extremely funny but never said anything to him because he was always surrounded by millions of people. Fast forward six years..me and FI are HUGE sports fans and it was 2010 NBA finals time. He found me on Facebook and sent me a friend request. We started talking sports and etched the games together while on the phone. I finally said I'm tired of watching games together on the phone. Next game I'm coming over. The deal was he make dinner I bring the drinks. I went to his house two nights later and he made me hot dogs and let me sit in his favorite chair to watch the game. That was our first date. June 8, 2010. From then on I was always there. I met his family June 20. We'be been attached at the hip ever since. And it turns out I should gave went for it in high school because he liked me too. He just thought I wouldn't give him a chance cuz he ddnt kno if I like bigger guys or not. Turns out I do..he's my teddy bear.

We met on eharmony- we always joke that we're a commercial! My mom bought it for me as a valentines' day present because she said she was tired of the bad guys I kept meeting. FI had just moved to the area from NY and was looking to meet people. The rest is history!

FI's aunt worked with my mom and when I went in to visit my mom one day, his aunt was bragging about her good looking nephews and was flashing photos of them. After seeing FI, I thought he was good looking and I wanted to meet him, so I begged my mom to help set us up or get us talking at least. After sending some of my pics his way, we started talking online/on the phone and met in person about a week later (since he lived about 2 hours north of where I lived) and then we've been inseparable ever since

We met when i was 10 yrs old. Hang out a few times with mutual friends and didn't see eachother again until 2 yrs later when I went to high school. We dated an and off until I got pregnant in 2005.

I agree, this is a great question! So fun reading everyones' stories!

My FI and I met through some mutual friends, a couple. The girl was a friend of mine from high school and the guy was his freshman year roommate at college. They just happened to invite M to the bar one night when I was there with the couple and another friend. That was the first time we met, but we didn't start dating until about a year after.

He pursued me for that year. I wasn't sure I was interested; I thought of him more as a friend. He kept asking me out, and I kept saying no. I just didn't want to date this guy!

Finally, after about a year, I started to kind of realize what a great guy M is. We would hang out with our mutual friends, and when other girls would show interest in him, I would get jealous. I realized I liked him! It really hit me when he was talking about his "future children" and I saw how mature, caring and kind he was. I called him up and told him he could finally take me on a date if he wanted (haha), and the rest is history! Our first date was a homeade dinner that he made for me (yum!) and a movie.

Mel- My cousin and her husband met through eharmony too! I dated a bunch of losers before I met FI, I'm surprised my own mom didn't buy me an eharmony membership :-P

Met my FI my freshman year of college at one of his fraternity parties and thought he was adorable! We became great friends through college and we didn't get together officially until we were in our early 20's. Love him so much!

We had alot of mutual friends and he had come to my then boyfriends house (loser, yuck) for a 'house party in hs. Everyone ended up leaving to get drugs (we were the only ones not doing them, yay for us) and we got snowed in while everyone got 'snowed out' on the roads, we hit it off like crazy and kept running not each other over the next week, ended up breaking up with old bf (because he was a big loser, still is..suprise suprise.) we've been together for 5 1/2 strong years since!

We met my senior year and his junor year of college. My 2 little sister in my soroity lived with FI & her boyfriend. I went over to see her after she got in and he was there. We decided to have a Love Stinks Party in honor of V-Day. We hung out all night and started hanging out and talking ever since

I had met my FI through okcupid.com too!! I had been opened an account just for the heck of it but was not actively perusing the sight or signing on. My FI had sent me a message to my account but I hadn't opened it till 4 months later! After filtering through the typical random fling messages that guys were sending, I got to his message and was so glad to see that he had actually read my profile and had a genuine interest in talking to me. I had messaged back thinking that I was ridiculous for responding to a message sent 4 months ago...I didn't expect that he would respond. But he did! He found it amusing and was light-hearted about it and I knew then that he was a chill guy! We ended up talking for about a month or so through the site via messages and chat. We went on our first date after I had come back from Philly from the holiday. I remember thinking to myself "Oh my, he's so type-A" because he planned the date to the tee. I myself am not type-A and was intimidated by it and said that if I still felt that way after a second date, I wasn't gonna pursue it. After the second date, however, we were much more relaxed with each other and I got to see the guy that I had come to get to know over the past month. We went on a few more dates and it wasn't long till we became a couple. We have grown SO close since then and don't know what I would do without him. He is truly my best friend :-)

We met on match.com while i was in texas and he was in afghanistan. We were friends all the way up until he came home (early, hurt) in May 2011, and we finally met in person.
