Newbie looking for e-shoot ideas!

Hi to all,
New to the boards, and i'm having my engagement session in a few weeks in San Diego. (fiance's idea) We've only been out there twice before and need help on picking a good location to have it. Open to all suggestions thanks :)

    Balboa Park is beautiful.  It's huge with a ton of different places to shoot.  Last time I was there, there were a few people playing lawn bowling and frisbee golf (they have specific areas for different activities).  I think it could make for some cute and playful pictures.

    if you're up for the drive, there's this little town in the mountains above SD called Julian. it's an old mining town that's famous for it's apple and boysenberry products. they have a lot of old buildings and cute B&B's.

    I would second Balboa Park too - it is really beautiful.
    Also I would go to the gas lamp district too - get some pictures on the trolley.

    Thanks do much for the info, just checked out Balboa Park, it's beautiful. I had originally hoped to take pics at the Huntington Library but they charge 700 plus fees! Can't seem to find any info about it on Balboa Park's website, and I can't get a live person on the phone, does anyone know offhand about restrictions/fees for professional photography sessions?
