Stockings or no stockings?

Hi -

Just looked at BM dresses - debating on long or tea length. My wedding date is November 3rd - If we decide on tea length dresses would stockings be necessary for that time of the year?

I vote for no stockings. Personally, I'm not a fan of them, plus then your girls will need close toed shoes. Nothing worse than stockings and open toed shoes.

My Jr. BM wore a knee length dress, no stockings, for my Nov. 4 wedding. The rest of the girls were in floor length, no stockings b/c they all chose sandals or peep toe shoes. Let your BMs decide if they want/need stockings with whatever dress you choose.

What are your colors? Only if they wear cool opaque black tights. They should wear closed toed shoes especially for the season.

Call me old fashioned, but I'm a big fan of ladies in pantyhose/stockings, especially at that time of the year. I personally hate the feeling of pantyhose around my waist, so I always opt for thigh highs ... but my grandmother very, very firmly entrenched the idea that "ladies wear pantyhose!" into all of the women in my family. I just can't go out without stockings, I feel half-dressed.
