What is our budget for Wedding Invitations?

Hey Ladies,

so i am NOT a DIY kind of girl. I just don't have the same creative mind that a lot of you have. I am shopping around with potential vendors and the invites are running from 4-5 bucks per invite (includes all the cards). I think that is a bit much. What do you think.... I tried to come up with a budget for the invites but can't seem to come up with one.


I really wish i could find someone who is up and coming and trying to build their business to do mine :(

    sometimes 30.00 mine is like 1.32ea im  making them myself

    Or for a mid-price point, you can get invitations from weddingpaperdivas.com or minted.com for between $1.80-$3.00 each.

    we spent approximately $70 on materials (cardstock, vellum, glue, envelopes, stamps for mailing).  FI printed out 85 invitations.  we spent less than a dollar on each.  the wording was printed on the vellum.  everything else was on the cardstock.

       I'm a bride on a budget and have cut cost by sending invites via Facebook, email, and  printed invitations using the Microsoft Brochure program on my computer I have my invites written and they are ready for print. We have saved a lot of money by using the 3 methods.

    Also try Ann's Bridal Bargins.  All very affordable.

    I also saw on another board that some people bought invites from Michaels and said that they were really easy to print.
