Not white veil

Hello!

I've just found my gown!!! :D  It is ivory with brown details embroidered.  But then, I fell in love with a brown hand embroidered veil that matches perfectly with it and it looks beautiful in me.  But I think this could kind of shocking to my fiancé and/or the guests... What do you think? Have you seen a bride with this kind of veil before (in a not Indian or Arabic wedding, by the way, I am not Catholic)?

Re: Not white veil

  • i think it's fine, people get married in churches in red, a brown veil is not gonna be super shocking
  • I haven't seen it before, but im sure it would be fine. If you love it and it matches great, then thats all that matters. You will likely only wear it for the ceremony only and off for the reception so I wouldn't worry too much about it
  • Sounds cute!! I think it would be unique and different, but certainly not anything that will make Grandma faint :)

  • I think it will be fine. I have seen a lot of different color veils recently.

  • I think it would be pretty!  Mine has a huge red flower on it.  I have seen them in blue and fuchsia netting lately too--styles are changing.  Ten years ago, no one would have worn colored shoes, and now lots of brides do it.
I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine.
  • Go for it.  If it matches the dress I think it is different, but not "odd".

  • Sounds fine to me- if I saw a brown veil I'd think COOL, not WTF!
