Buying shoes from Etsy

I have been looking all over for flat shoes that will look good with my dress (and that I can afford). I found some I really like on Etsy, but I'm always afraid to buy shoes online. I normally need to try them on first. Have any of you bought shoes from this website? Were the sizes like normal?

Etsy sellers sell vintage, or handmade items. I doubt what you are looking at is handmade, so they are most likely vintage shoes someone bought elsewhere, or had in their closet. So, there is no way to know fit.

Have you checked other sites like DSW, or Zappo's I would stick with an actual shoe store where they have a range of sizes and reviews.

  • I've bought lots of stuff from Etsy and never had a problem. If you do decide to ge your shoes there make sure they hav a good return policy in case they don't fit.

  • Besides vintage shoes, I notice a lot of upcycled shoes.  They are mostly cheap shoes probably found at a super cheap price and they add their crafty flair to them but you can usually still see the label on the shoe to figure out the brand to know the fit.
  • Just ask the seller about their return policy
