  we used D&H for our wedding.  i *think* they're generally a little less expensive than Ilios, but i'm not entirely sure.  i was 100% happy with D&H.  they provided several different quotes (for outside lighting; floor, tables, cake table spotlights and uplights) and photo examples of what things would look like.  in the end we only chose to go with uplights (although if i had an unlimited budget, i'd do it all, it looked fantastic).  i never saw the D&H crew.  they showed up when they were supposed to, set everything up and then took it down after the reception.  the uplights added a wonderful ambiance to the mercury hall (our reception venue).  overall - i give them A++.  solid customer service and they did everything exactly as they promised (with minimal coordination on my part).

  I don't have any experience with either of them. We used GOBO Entertainment for our DJ service and they also do custom lighting. I thought I would mention it in case you wanted quotes from somewhere else... Good luck!

  I also was looking for a lighting quote, and got quotes from both D&H and ILIOS, and both were more expensive than IES Lighting, who we ended up going with.  He's been super nice so far.

  Thanks y'all!  I will contact interactive lighting as well, since we are trying to stay on a budget!  I like the idea of having some lighting for a dramatic effect, but I'm a little nervous that the ballroom will look a little ... well, dark.  I tend to overthink everything though.
