BEST PLACES TO SHOP

I really need help ladies. My wedding in Sept. 2012. I only have family in town for a couple weeks and really want to make the most of it. I am in NY right now. What are some of the absolute best places to find plus- sized gowns.

    The only place I can think of that I know for sure has plus sized gowns is David's Bridal, but you could also try calling Bridal Reflections to see if they have anything in the store. I know of 2 locations on Long Island, not sure if there are any in the city. And depending on your budget, there's always Amsale in Manhattan. maybe they have something? hth

    RK Bridal has a full plus size section. No appt needed. Jo was wonderful and helped me find my dress

    M and J trimming is nearby stop by if you are a DIY. i bought blinged out material for straps and you might be able to find other discounted goodies

    Any fashonista worth her salt would hit Monif C. Plus sizes.

    in NY? Kleinfelds...although I'm not a huge fan of theirs and Provinas. Now if you come over the bridge to NJ, here's a few goodies: Park Avenue Bridals & Russles. Both have a bunch of plus size samples. Have fun!!!!!

    Most Alfred Angelo dresses (including the Disney princess line, Kate Middleton look-a-like and Twilight/Bella look-a-like) are available up to a size 30W.  AA is carried in a lot of boutiques, but if you feel like a road trip, one of their signature stores (Allentown PA, Manchester CT, or Cherry Hill NJ) may be worth a stop.

    David's Bridal service can be hit-or-miss, so if you go, bring along someone you trust to help you find and try on dresses, and don't let yourself get pressured into the wrong decision.

    Kleinfeld Bridal on West 20th Street is famous, from Say Yes to the Dress.  If I lived near New York, I'd go just for the experience.

    Yes, I did RK Bridal this weekend. It was a crazy experience. The weekend was probably not the best time to go because June brides are in full affect right now. They were really good and I did find a possible. Made my appointment for Kleinfelds too. Might as well since they are close by.
